My Stalinist wife and daughter think that I have political Turrets Syndrome and try to keep me locked in the garage when we have company. I'll admit it, I'm a bit right of center but given the current state of affairs what sensible person could be otherwise? In fact, I've become convinced that a reelection of The Worst President In American History and a sufficient quantity of his extremist Commiecrat buddies will be the end of this country as a free and prosperous nation. They've done so much damage in just the last two and a half years and are making proposals that show that they are committed to even worse policies that we need to embrace anything or anyone, regardless of who they are, who will serve to further discredit The Worst President In American History and his clique of clueless radicals and contribute to their defeat next year.

In my last post, written six weeks ago (yes, I'm lazy) I opined about the wisdom of calling for Gaddafi's ouster and then not backing the rebels, leaving an angry maniac in power with revenge on his mind. Because I assume that people who have clawed their way into power have some kind of expertise in strategy and diplomacy calling for Gaddafi's ouster and then leaving the rebels on the ground to be slaughtered was as bad a policy as I could imagine. But of course The Worst President In American History and his pathetically incompetent Sec Of State have so far exceeded my estimation of how bad these Ivy League half-wits can screw things up that I'm worried that my raging tirade against them a few weeks ago might be mistaken by some for implicit support.

Who would have imagined that they would intervene and figure out a way to lose? In my wildest dreams I couldnt have imagined such a shameful display of cowardice and bungling as the clownish antics of our pathetic Sec Of State, the Arab League, the UN, and NATO as their feeble and confused intervention advertises the flagrant weakness of the 'developed nations' to the hungry dictators of the world. The elitist dopes running the US and NATO were reading 'Rules For Radicals' when they should have been reading Sun Tzu, Zinn instead of Gibbon. Thanks to the takeover of the 'elite' universities by the politically correct America-hating radical Stalinists critical thought and even common sense have been completely abandoned by our Yale and Harvard graduated leaders. The bungling series of missteps in the Middle East could only have been committed by people who have NO knowledge of history.

'Kinda' bombing somebody is worse than not bombing them at all. Especially if that 'somebody' blew up an airplane full of your citizens the last time you bombed him. Gaddafi has some other issues; getting kicked off a UN Human Rights Council that includes such sterling examples as China, Russia and Cuba points to a troubled human rights record; he's a transvestite who has a forty-member buxom virgin (yeah sure they are) security squad; his delightful son and heir promised 'rivers of blood' will flow, and its a promise that's likely to be kept; there are a whole host of reasons to not like this guy.

And one big reason to like him; he is revealing the absurd fiction of NATO, an organization unable to mount a coordinated and effective military effort even on such a microscopic scale; he is underlining and capitalizing the complete cluelessness and lack of competence of The Worst President In American History and his pathetic Sec Of State. If our country is to be saved sacrifices must be made. For that reason I am hoping for the day when Gaddafi's forces brush aside the abandoned and betrayed rebels and take control of Benghazi. They were walking dead men anyway; they listened to Hillary Clinton and now they're going to die. It will take a year to wind down the Peace Symposiums at the UN and an olive branch could be held out to Gaddafi in thye form of returning his treasured seat at the UN Human Rights Council.

Gaddafi will recover politically and socially but The Worst President In American History will not. The coming elections in Egypt and its emergence as an Islamic Republic allied with Iran, the fall of the rebels in Libya, the bloody triumph of the Syrians over their own hapless citizens and the slide of Iraq into the arms of Iran will point out what a complete and total FAILURE The Worst President In American History's foreign policy, and especially his foreign policy in the Middle East, has been. With Moe-marr cruising the streets of Tripoli in what appears to be a wardrobe he purchased at the Michael Jackson Estate Sale waving and blowing kisses can anyone be befuddled enough to still think that The Worst President In American History is anything but that? Thanks Moe-marr and keep on smiling...President Trump will settle the bill later.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-6294576674543268862011-03-08T17:57:00.000-08:002011-03-10T20:16:05.984-08:00Al Jazeera? Al Jazeera does have 'real news'. It isnt like the fake news we are getting from our news media. What is it about that dandy Al Jazeera journalism that Madame Secretary is so taken with? The anti-semetic, anti-Israel rants? Possibly, but somehow I dont think that's what she's talking about. I think Hillary was just doing the lefty-elitist-Yale-radical-arrogant-egotistical-politically-correct suck-up to Muslims. Its Muslim so it must be good.

But like a blind Justice Dept. official finding an ACORN ballot, like a stopped watch syncing with the correct time for a minute, Dame Clinton has stumbled into the truth. As far as the Libyan story goes the US media, from Fox to MSNBC, is total and complete hogwash and Al Jazeera is telling the truth.

The Western media is broadcasting the hand-wringing leaders of NATO as they talk endlessly about 'no-fly zones' and 'military options' as though these pack of spineless multiculturalists were gearing up for a bit of Blitzkrieg. Its all hot air given a tenuous reality by the solemness of the pronouncements. However, its clear that they will watch the Libyan people be massacred under their noses and are not going to do anything or lift one single finger. Now we have a situation where US interests have been put on the line by a bigmouth president who likes to flap his gums and then do absolutely nothing. The 'Give Peace A Chance' crowd was able to bamboozle Ben Ali out of Tunisia and Mubarak out of Egypt after an alarming series of flubs and missteps. They thought they could do the same with Gadaffy-duck. So they made the same braying noises telling him to step down and come on over to the Hague for a nice twenty-year-long war crimes trial (ala Milosevic) and expected him to come crawling.

But Gadaffy-duck was not educated at Harvard or Cambridge. He didnt do the seminar on advanced diplomacy at the Sorbonne. When he first took power he surrounded himself with Soviet bodygaurds and acted as a Mediterranean Fidel, invading his neighbors and fomenting revolts and terrorism at every opportunity, aided and abetted by his KGB handlers. Then after Reagan bombed him he retreated into insanity and cowardice and kept his nose clean. He was afraid of Reagan, sent troops to Desert Storm and was afraid of W. Libya was forgotten and gained enough respectability to be given a seat on the UN Human Rights Commission by a doting diplomatic community. Of course the Western media never wrapped their minds around the concept that a groovy, flamboyantly-dressed, Third World leader who talked of 'Jamahira', sharing, brotherhood, peace, might be an evil, vile, hate-filled dictator whose people hated his guts.

Libya looked so permanent. Egypt can fall. Tunisia? Sure. A whole long list of Arab states are on the death-watch list from Oman to Saudi Arabia. But not Libya. But Gadaffy-duck wasnt counting on Al Jazeera. Al Jazeera showed what flimsy houses of cards these authoritarian Arab regimes were. The second the old regimes tried to get really tough the 'World Community' stepped in. No, no, no! Dont be brutal. With their hands securely tied the more moderate regimes collapsed. The crowd was willing to go all the way and the police forces were ordered to hold back. What kind of a fool is going to put his life on the line following orders like that? You either kick ass or you leave. The cops took a powder, as anyone given an order inspired by Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama is obliged to do if they want to survive.

But in Libya they got the Al Jazeera message. The people rose against the hated regime. They killed the informers and party hacks and it looked as though the regime was on its last legs. An obviously stoned Gadaffy-duck would do some bhong-hits and go out in front of the cameras and rail against Al Qaida, drugged-out foreigners and George W Bush. His ultra-creepy son Sayif, who had his mega-million dollar pad in London ripped off in a storm of fake outrage by politicians who will likely turn it into a secret party pad, went on TV and threatened to kill everybody. Well, that's a sign of the end, isnt it?

But now viewers of Al Jazeera are seeing something completely different. They are seeing that Sayif was not talking out of his hat, he is coming to kill everybody who had the urge to commit suicide by protesting his family's rule. The Libyan dictator, after a few weeks of chaos, has gotten his act together even as the foolish Obama calls daily for his resignation. Brutal counterattacks have begun to get rolling. Tanks, aircraft and foreign mercenaries given carte blanche to kill anyone they feel like killing. Arms and mercenaries are arriving from Syria and Iran without the Western media making a squeak of protest. The volume of the hand-wringing hasnt changed in content or tone.

The truth that Al Jazeera is reporting for everyone to see is that if you have the ruthless will to slaughter your own people, and troops who will follow any order, no matter how savage, you can overcome this 'democracy movement'. Furthermore, no one will do a single thing to stop you. The traitorous lefties have so neutered the politicians in the 'civilized' countries, the brains of these 'leaders' have been so softened by their 'elite' educations, that they are completely incapable of taking any kind of action, even when their vital national interests are at stake. Now the world is going to sit back and watch the very public video-slaughter of hundreds of thousands of people, hundreds of thousands more will soon be fleeing on camera to squalid refugee camps just across the border and an entire nation will soon be living in stark terror, their lives dependent on the will of their angry masters. Within a year the oil companies will be back. So will the parasitic ex-pats. Have they even kicked Libya off the UN Human Rights Committee?

And what lesson will Gadaffy-duck have learned? Only that Iran and Syria will act when its necessary and Barak Obama and NATO will not. This vicious, brutal murderer has now been given a graphic lesson that as far as Europe and the US is concerned he can do anything he wants without any consequence. That floppy-eared, incompetent bozo in the White House will listen to Farrakhan, a good bud of Gadaffy-duck, before he'll listen to his country's interests and is too feeble to take any action in any event. Obama doesnt even recognize that his country has interests that need to be protected. As for the pathetic Hillary, a person who in the middle of this carnage is writing ponderous articles about how these Middle Eastern mobs need to consider women's rights, nothing more need be said. She is a hopelessly befuddled academic mediocrity. These 'Green' lefties have given Gadaffy-duck the 'Green' light to do whatever he wants to do. Sending hit squads to murder exiled opponents of his regime in European cities in public and broad daylight? Sending terrorists into crowds to kill hundreds of people? Why not? Who's going to do anything about it? The Dutch? The Norwegians? Hillary Clinton?

This is like the end of the Roman Empire under the Emperor Honorius. An aging and soft population living in an oppressive welfare state run by a hopeless incompetent whose obsession is with court politics renounces childbearing and militarism and is set upon by its savage, brutal, young neighbors. Al Jazeera has broadcast the gutless cowardice of the US and NATO to the world for every eye to see. It only remains for the empty-shell regimes of Europe to crumble under the onslaught from without. Its a story as old as human history.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-90155568688750586992011-02-22T07:41:00.000-08:002011-02-22T09:57:31.839-08:00Critical Mass
In 'Decline And Fall' Gibbon at one point remarked that to a common citizen at the time of the Roman Empire the rule of the worst emperors appeared as powerful and stable as those of the greatest. People couldnt see the slow decline of Roman power on a day to day basis. But all of a sudden the barbarians were at the gates. Everything that seemed so permanent turned out to be resting on foundations that had been undermined.

Its called 'Critical Mass'. The laws of physics can be applied to history. A compromised system can keep working on momentum for a while but a point arrives where it stops working. The Bastille falls, the Gothic mercenaries mutiny. The old certainties collapse, the old relationships are instantly redefined.

Now, the United States, the preeminent power in the world from the beginning of World War 2, in the hands of a ruling class that has become effete and ignorant and led by a president who is misguided and talentless, has declined to point where the order engendered by its former power and greatness is collapsing around it. Symptoms of that collapse echo in its own domestic affairs as the absurdities of the welfare state cause chaos and misery.

For eight years the leftists, in the name of opposing the hated US hegemony over the world, made, in their minds, common cause with the Islamic nihilists who sought the overthrow of the Pax Americana in the Middle East. Of course the Ivy League-educated were unaware of the savage nature of the Islamic mobs that have now been unleashed; it is the hallmark of an elite education that one not be judgmental of different cultures and realize that there is no objective good or evil when it comes to a conflict between belief systems. We think that strip clubs are constitutionally protected free speech, they think that six year old girls should have their clitorises removed with an exacto knife by the local witch woman so that they wont enjoy sex and become whores. Its just a simple difference of opinion.

Unfortunately, in a Madrassa-based curriculum the accent is less on mutual understanding and conflict resolution and more on killing the verminous infidel. Now, as we watch the Middle East dissolve into flame and chaos, as our 'leaders' blurble on about 'the rise of democracy' and stand with their hands clasped deploring violence, we see the end of sixty years of US influence in the ME. We'll soon get to see what these people are like without the restraint of colonialism or imperialism or whatever the hell it was that we forced on them. I'll bet their natural proclivities arent towards 'democracy'. A brief glance at Arab history before the arrival of the brutal Ottoman Turks in the 16th century, which cowed them into submission for three centuries, is a tableau of murderous, unstable regimes; vendettas and blood feuds conducted through centuries; human rights not even dreamed of by the terrified serfs who lived hypnotized in an Islamic torpor until some maniac stirred them to mindless violence for a brief moment.

Who cares, anyway? Well...we should care a whole bunch. The same geniuses who dismantled our human intelligence capabilities, stood by grinning and winking while our national secrets were posted on the internet, and who ignored the true nature of our adversaries, at the same time these visionaries very vigorously pursued a policy of suppressing energy development in our own country. Coal, petroleum, natural gas, and nuclear power were all attacked by a bureaucracy that was going to use ample government subsidies to create a revolution in 'renewable' fuels. They were saving the planet. After spending tens of billions of dollars and sacrificing all domestic energy development for nearly three decades the production of energy overseas is increasingly in the hands of thugs whose negotiating and conflict resolution skills are minimal but who understand weakness when they see it. Persuading them to 'listen to reason' might be a bit tough. As Gibbon remarked, 'Persuasion is the tactic of the weak but the weak are rarely persuasive.'

Now our government, mortgaged to the hilt and hamstrung by commitments to subsidize everyone and everything, has resorted to the final poison pill that clueless socialists always resort to in the end...they're printing money. With no rise in economic activity this wave of luckybux has touched off an anemic suckers rally on Wall Street, a rally about to be bludgeoned into reality by soaring energy prices.

A black hole has opened and all the old realities are being sucked into its vast gravity field. Public employee unions, once sacrosanct, find themselves painted into a political corner. They are trying to hold on to a position that has ceased to exist. That their contracts are as worthless as any of the other flood of words issuing from the mouths of the Best And The Brightest is obvious to everyone. The situation has changed. They ignored the actuarial tables for decades...until critical mass arrived. Contract canceled.

What is money but a contract? The words of our ruling class are increasingly seen to be worthless; their economic statistics, their spitting on ancient alliances, the solvency of all their social engineering schemes, their budgets, the census they just took, their phony poll numbers, even the data from the weather agencies have become conflicting and politically biased. If your word is worthless then your contracts are worthless. If your word is worthless and your contracts are worthless then your money is worthless.

The Obama Implosion continues.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-13017009545546492972011-02-15T08:27:00.000-08:002011-02-15T10:20:48.101-08:00Pretzel Logic
Has anybody noticed that any time any Democrat talks about anything involving a number its either been made up out of thin air or is so twisted and convoluted that it is worthless? The 'raw' numbers on unemployment bear no relation to the 'adjusted' ones released by the Labor Dept. The 'raw' weather data bears no relationship to the twisted numbers that are used to try to make the case for Global Warming. Most especially the president's budget baloney is so reprehensibly dishonest that even the foolish clowns on Wall Street, frolicking in a wave of Quantitative Easy Money printed up fresh by the Fed, are asking questions about the ludicrous assumptions and ridiculous 'cuts' contained in a document so mendacious that BJ Clinton's autobiography is a masterpiece of honesty by comparison.

Unemployment and almost anything related to the economy is one of the most distorted parts of the Obama narrative. The feeble 'recovery' of profits isnt related to any increase in economic activity. Housing starts are down, foreclosures are up, fewer goods are being sold, many more people are out of work or under-employed than at any time since the Depression that the government caused in the 1930's by adopting similar policies to those that are driving the current one. Two years out the Stimulus and the entire Keynesian paradigm has obviously failed but it is still the Party Line as the Obamunists wax eloquent about 'the recovery' that doesnt exist.

The worst lie coming from the economic geniuses of The Regime is their chronic understating of the inflation rate. They accomplished this by not counting food, health care, energy and taxes in the calculations. So while Chase Bank rakes in billions and borrows money at zero percent from the Fed, while Archer Daniels Midland collects billions in agricultural and ethanol subsidies, while all public employees get hefty pay increases, Grandma and Grandpa on Social Security have effectively had their benefits frozen while the prices of things they buy shoot up. So the Obamunists dont want to talk about the agencies whose funding they have doubled in the last two years; whenever anybody mentions cuts they point to Grandma and Grandpa and say, "This is a problem with entitlements." Its not. Social Security is funded by a tax and is running a tiny deficit, amply covered by the IOU's written by Congress as they looted the trust fund. Medicare has risen somewhat but Medicaid...free health care to illegal aliens and welfare recipients...has risen by 40% in two years.

Another rising cost mentioned by NO ONE in government or business but mentioned very much by regular people is what is happening to interest rates. Not mortgage rates, which are low for the solvent cash-rich few who can qualify, but credit card and consumer loan rates. My wife and I had never been late on any of our payments on a card that charged 6% interest on balances. Imagine our surprise we received a letter telling us that the rate was hiked to 13%. When we complained to our friends they laughed at us. People are paying 25%, 30%, I even heard a story from a bankruptcy lawyer of a 37% rate. These rates would have gotten a usurer crucified in the Roman Empire, an entity not noted for its debtor-friendly policies. People who ran huge balances and retired that debt occasionally by refinancing their mortgage and rolling their credit card debt into the new mortgage have now been caught holding the bag. They are barely paying the interest on huge balances. They are effectively slaves of a bank that can borrow money interest-free from the Fed. The Financial Reform Bill passed last year not only didnt do anything about this it made it worse by shutting down competition between banks.

So as we look at a budget, described by The President this morning as 'bare bones' and 'filled with cuts', but which in effect continues the current mad dash to insolvency you have to ask, "Do these guys believe their own numbers? Are they that stupid or do they just think we're that stupid?" What did they think all that ruckus last year was about? Do the Dems think that all that has just gone away, that we cant read our doom in the pages of this budget? There are still people in this country who can read history and a balance sheet. They rioted last year at the polls. The Obamunists think that they can dance to the polls on a wave of ignorant voters and phony ballots like they did in 2008...the phony polls in the NYT and Time magazine prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt but like any other number put out by liberals Obama's solid shot at reelection is a chimera generated out of thin air. Our strength is that the libs actually believe their own lies.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-31129643858679902932010-11-06T07:48:00.000-07:002010-11-06T09:55:56.105-07:00Republiclowns Fail To Fail
The polls were surging. The voters were furious at the failed left-wing economic policies and unpopular legislation nationalizing health care the supposedly centrist Demo-rats had arrogantly foisted on this nation. In the Dem landslide of 2008 the Republiclown Party had been reduced to the status of one of those fake opposition parties that dictators keep alive to pretend that their country isnt really a one-party state. If the Obamunists had had any sense they would have thrown a few scraps to the cringing cowards across the aisle to keep them quiescent. Thats what LBJ did when he had a similar majority. But LBJ had spent a lifetime shepherding legislation through congress. He knew the shifting nature of coalitions and how to horse-trade with everybody.

The Obama Gang, clueless academics from universities where no opposition is tolerated, was cut from a different bolt of cloth, and the people who ran the new Dem majority in congress were different as well. They had the whip-hand and being ideological types they didnt respect their opponents; they hated them and viewed them as enemies. Pathetic enemies with no power and no hope of ever regaining power. In one of the most foolish political mistakes ever made the Dems used their ascendancy in both houses to lock the Republiclowns completely out of the legislative process. So instead of humble eager-to-please aisle-crossers they created a unified, angry bloc of opponents. The Dems forced the Reps to stand up straight and show some gumption for once.

Something else was happening in the country. Without any prompting from anyone from any part of the ruling class the citizens of the country, longtime conservatives who had abandoned McLame in 2008 and independents who had gone for the feelgood advertising campaign of Hope And Change arose, furious at the radicals in the now wholly Dem-run government who were enacting outrage after outrage while the economy crumbled. The Tea Party was born from a rant by Rick Santelli on CNBC early in the process that went viral on U-Tube, an ominous sign of the declining power of the Official Media to control what people get to see and hear about. This rebellion was dismissed as a few of the usual malcontents by all the Inside-The -Beltway types in both parties. They all were upset and frightened as townhalls turned into angry yelling mobs and legislators were forced to turn and run from their furious constituents.

In ultra-blue New Jersey, the same insurgents overthrew a well-entrenched, generations-old Demo-rat cleptocracy and installed a reformer who was ready to take on the establishment. In Massachusetts Ted Kennedy's old seat was taken in a surprise uprising by these very same people and virtually without any help from the confused DC Republiclowns. The Dem's arrogant folly of insulting Olympia Snowe and Lindsay Graham and their ilk became apparent when the 60-vote lock-solid, filibuster-proof Dem hold on the Senate disappeared. The health care nationalization bill had to be finagled through on a very suspicious procedural vote where the contents were keep secret so they could be rewritten later.

The anger grew. Obama and the elitist fools around them made political mistake after political mistake. Obama didnt even rise to the low standard set by the corrupt and incompetent BJ Clinton when it came to keeping up appearances. As the 2010 primary season approached the rebellion was faced with a question...stay in the liberal Republican Party and reform it from within or strike out as their own third party. The decision was made by the only two people with any claim to leadership that the new insurgents had; Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin.
They encouraged and supported insurgency against the decrepit Republiclowns.

Old liberal warhorses like Bennet in Utah, Murk-COW-ski in Alaska, McConnell's hand-picked stooge in Kentucky and The Weasel Crist in Florida, the mangy varmint who had sealed the deal for McLame in '08, were taken on in the primaries and defeated, along with many, many others. It was by no means total, plenty of insider Republiclowns survived but the party had taken a huge jump to the right. Candidates emerged to challenge old-time Dem stalwarts who had never run in a competitive election before.

The Republiclowns, eager as always to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, launched vicious attacks on conservatives in the primaries and refused to fund them in the election itself. Some candidates were considered so beyond the pale that they were openly attacked in the media by Republiclown operatives. The Republiclowns refused to nationalize the election by attacking Obama and the Demo-rats and their left-wing policies. That too was left to talk radio and people like Sarah Palin. Candidates like Carly Fiorina and Meg Whitman in California never mentioned that their opponents were liberals or attacked any aspect of liberalism in the time-honored Republiclown mistake of debating after you accept your opponent's premises.

But in spite of the stupidity and cluelessness of the DC Republiclowns the wave could not be stopped. It didnt start in DC and no one from inside the beltway had any real influence over it. A great victory was won. A huge setback was dealt to the radicals and their feckless leader. A large group of energized and motivated conservatives will take their seats in congress in January. Boehner and McConnell, both fairly sensible and effective politicians had taken note of the feeling in the country and had used that emotion to make the best of the bad hands they had been dealt in '08.

Meanwhile the Republiclown bureaucracy, liberal and corrupt, had been handed a gift; a victory they did nothing to achieve. They immediately moved to insult and denigrate the people who had given them this gift. Why hadnt they won ten seats in the Senate instead of six? A hundred seats in the House instead of a mere sixty? It was those danged Tea Party extremists! If only we had had a few more spineless, wishy-washy candidates we would have won more, gotten our majority back in the Senate. Then they began announcing initiatives to make sure that Sarah Palin didnt get the nomination in 2012 and talking of bipartisanship to aid the failing Demo-rats.

But this is a new day. The time of the quibblers is over. As the Republiclown Party moved to the right the Demo-rats, their moderates massacred in the election, became a party dominated by ultra-blue-state politicians from safe districts, a very much more left-wing crewe than before. McLame's aisle that he crossed again and again has become like the Green Line in Beirut; you cross at your peril. Even Olympia Snowe, up for reelection in 2012 in a state that just elected a very conservative governor has to be mindful of a primary challenge and also of the fate of traitor weasels like Jumpin' Jim Jeffords, Arlen Sphincter and The Weasel Crist. But the main thing working against the libs now is that no one wants to bet their career on the inept political skills of Barak Obama, who is rapidly morphing into a tall, better-spoken version of Al Sharpton.

The coming fight will be for the whole enchilada. A reelection of Barak Obama will be the end for democracy and prosperity in this country forever. We must recapture the Senate and hold the gains in the House. This will be much harder if the fools who run the Republiclown National Committee remain undisturbed in their clueless incompetence. They cannot be allowed to inflict a Pawlenty or a Romney or any other equivocating moderate on the party as its nominee in 2012. The whole premise of Hope And Change has to be questioned and fought and defeated. The Republiclowns, inspired by their tremendous losses in '06 and '08, courted failure in this last election but they failed to achieve it. It has given them a new resolve that they wont be allowed to not fail again by a bunch of yahoos screaming about the Laffer Curve and massive program cuts. They're all about jobs...their jobs, their place at the trough and believe me, these pigs will bite, squeal, and totally sell-out to keep their noses in the mash.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-7363290932556484522010-11-03T08:08:00.000-07:002010-11-03T09:42:33.797-07:00Deficits Is Too Damned LOW!
I heard there was a Right Wing wave out there somewhere. The map on Fox glowed with what TV professionals call 'illegal red' ; a red so hot that it bleeds out of its borders on TV screens. It looked like somebody took a red paint bomb and threw it at the map. I guess I should congratulate all you Americans and share your happiness. But I'm not happy. I'm really upset.

Larry Sabato was on TV last night and very rightly noted that 'you never win them all'. He's right. There never was much hope for O'Donnell with both parties against her in an indigo-blue state that Jon Stewart described as a 'rest stop'. Westlemania didnt put the effete Connecticuttians in a headlock? Not surprised. The Reid machine goes into overdrive and crushes a housewife from Ely, Nevada? A bummer, but again the pros usually win against amateurs. Lousy Murk-COW-ski parlayed corrupt big donors and a vicious media into a win? Sad but I can deal with it.

Lots of good stuff happened, too! Barak Obama's home state turned red for the moment. What a humiliating defeat. The Ohioans seemed to have regained their sanity. Feingold got the boot. Even states like Michigan kicked the Dems in the pants. Old time Demo committee chairmen in the House were given their walking papers. We're all waiting for President Barry's press conference. Will he do a Clinton and triangulate a little? Not a chance. This election wiped all the pretend moderates off the Democrat landscape, leaving the Waxmans and Hoyers in charge. Nancy will probably retire to her latifundia in Napa and sip wine to the sound of whips smacking onto the backs of her illegal alien grape-pickers. Nan's replacement will be picked by our new Democratic Governor.

And that's why I'm sad. No, not because anyone appointed to replace her by our new gov will be even more obnoxiously loony than Nancy, look at the mutated pond he will have to select from, but because of who that new gov will be. The rest of the country realized they had been bamboozled by Hope And Change and moved to rectify that grievous error. Not us, not here. The same barrage of union-paid ads motivated the same crowd of simpletons to return just about every deranged left-wing radical to their rightful places in Sacramento and armed them with Prop 25, a measure that removed the 2/3 requirement to pass a state budget.

Jerry The Jerk. As if Arnold and this commie legislature wasnt bad enough. $40 billion in revenues, $60 billion in expenditures. If California was a business would you buy its stock? And that was the past. Arnold is a schmuck and a RINO, married to a Kennedy. He passed a Global Warming bill that makes the federal cap-and-tax bill look moderate. The voters were offered a chance to reject it yesterday but they rejected the rejection. As bad as The Governator has been his stupid excesses and crawling to the Dems are right-wing obstructionism compared to what's coming. As Arnold retires he should say only one thing, 'Apres moi, le deluge!'

Jerry The Jerk. The 2/3 requirement removed. A huge Dem majority in both houses of the legislature; all of them beholden to the greediest, most short-sighted public employee unions on the planet. Let me mention to you non-Californians who might not be up to speed on the nature of the Democrats who make up our legislature what a pack of criminally insane socialist radical idiots these guys are. Democrats in your state, the ones you think are extreme liberals, would be condemned as right-wing Tea Party extremists in this state. Money is no object, the laws of physics no barrier, common sense and logic are abandoned if the cause is sufficiently groovy. They're wrecking agriculture to save a handful of minnows; high-tech industries are fleeing Silicon Valley, even the film industry is being chased away by high taxes and ridiculous work rules.

Windmills and solar panels are heavily subsidized to produce 1% of the state's energy while coal and natural gas plants in other states produce the rest. AB32 will soon show the morons of this state that the Greenies mean to get them out of their cars and onto a nice, stinky, crowded bus but it wont matter because there wont be any jobs to commute to anyway. Who knows what new outrages Jerry The Jerk and Jerry's Kids in the legislature will come up with? They will enact every piece of the Obama agenda that the rest of the country rejected last night and more.

France? Italy? Greece? You think you've seen chaos? Hah! We're Americans! We can go crazier, make more insane demands, be more stupid and self-defeating, get more violent and still vote to re-elect the same pack of idiots to make the same gross errors. You think a 33% budget deficit is high? Well DEFICITS IS TOO DAMNED LOW!

So if you want to smoke some great bud or marry your same-sex life partner and then get him/her an abortion paid for by the taxpayer; if you want to see people who collect 110% of their pay in retirement paid for by taxpayers who have no pension other than Social Security; if you want to watch a crowd of naked aging hippies doing a nude bike ride and attacking any carbon-spewing motorist who dares honk at them; if you want to pay a couple of bucks more per gallon to stop Global Warming; if you want to see what it looks like for a civilization to come completely unglued then you should move here.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-43943343646014077702010-11-01T18:23:00.000-07:002010-11-01T19:01:11.890-07:00Waxman--Stop the Smears!
There's a new Tea Party-ish face in town. We all call him Charley! He's a fresh face with a winning smile and dazzling, hypnotic eyes! Waxman and the liberal media are trying to bring Charley down with personal attacks and ancient history but I can tell you its not going to work. From the gay bars on Santa Monica Boulevard, the Jewish old folks homes in the Fairfax District, through the mansions of Beverly Hills and Bel Air to the toney suburbs of Woodland Hills and Calabasas it seems Hank has worn out his welcome. Move over Waxman, Charley's in town!

OK, he partied in the sixties, we all did that, made some mistakes, but hey, 1969 was a long time ago! Not far enough away for Waxman's opposition research, apparently. Hey! He never was in the damned Tate house so stop the guilt by association! This election isnt about personalities, but issues!

When it comes down to it Charley is just a lot more rational than Hank. He cares about what you and I think and feel. I love his campaign slogan "I'm inside your head, man!" That's a guy who really cares. Hank's too busy investigating oil executives and baseball players to care about our petty concerns.

We want to send Charley to Capital Hill because we know he'll shake things up like never before. He's no RINO, heading for DC to make a deal with the libs. He wants to burn the place to the ground...I'm not kidding! That might be just what it needs. When Charley and his wonderful family get to town you can bet there will be many who sit up and take notice. He's not one to get lost in the Helter Skelter of political life. You can see he's pulling ahead in the polls. Even in this hard-core left-wing district the failure of Obamunism is so flagrant that these long-shot candidates are literally coming out of the woodwork. Yeah, I know Charley probably wouldnt have much appeal in your town, but this is Los Angeles. You should see the people we elect. Look at Hank! Charley might not be a Strict Constructionist in the usual sense but he's as good as its going to get in this district and, lets face it, he's got a way more realistic take on things than the professional politician Waxman.

So now we see that Charley is pulling away from the worn out ideas of Henry Waxman, a candidate so awful that just about anybody would be preferable. Just about.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-35625860099133024742010-10-24T07:52:00.000-07:002010-10-24T10:20:55.881-07:00Driving Lessons

Its been cloudy in LA recently. Light drizzle a lot of the time. Its only the end of October and there's already been nearly a half-inch of rain since the 'rainy season' began at the end of September. In a lot of places a half-inch of rain in a month or so would be cause for celebration but here people wander around wringing their hands asking 'when is this going to end?'

But Thursday's weather report showed a gap in the clouds for Friday! The news warned of massive traffic jams downtown because Obama's coming to town! Most of the time when the prez shows up we only get the traffic jam but never get to see him. California is usually a safe Demo state and the national parties use it as a cash cow. They do fundraisers here and ship the cash to the battleground states. Not this year. California is a battleground state this year. Both Babs Boxer and Jerry Brown are long past their 'sell by' date and even in this commie state the granola-eaters are off their feed and much less likely to vote than they were two years ago.

So Obama and the Dems announce an open-to-the-public presidential speech at USC, about fifteen miles from my house. I decided to go and my daughter Emily and her boyfriend Nate decided to come along. We didnt want to take a car into the predicted jam so we drove into Hollywood, parked and took the subway and a shuttle-bus to the event. We went through security in pretty good time.

The crowd was mainly USC students. There were a few always-scowling union types, all with t-shirts identifying the various groups they were associated with. I had had the foresight to wear my union t-shirt which caused puzzlement on a few faces. The Animation Guild Local 839 was a bit of an anomaly amongst all those SEIU and ASCME shirts and even though I could easily drop twenty five pounds as union t-shirt wearing types go I was svelte and skinny. What is it about union membership that makes you bloat? Maybe there's some money in the stimulus bill to study why that happens.

We tried to find a spot where we could see the podium. The event was in a quad, an open square, and whoever put it together hadnt considered the crowd at all. Apparently Obama can only be photographed from one angle, straight on. It makes sense when you consider that he has the two teleprompter screens that he turns back and forth to read from. What this means is that unlike every other event like this that I've ever been to the press stands were erected dead center in the quad. This blocked the view from a large part of the area and squashed the crowd into two packed groups along the sides. The podium was low on the steps of the building behind it. A bunch of people with Hope and Change signs were lined up behind the podium. Nice for the press, bad for the crowd.

We tried to get close but that was impossible so we finally found a little rise where we could get a view of the speakers through the heads in the crowd. By that time the show had started. They always lead off with the local activists. These people mistake shouting for oratory. The males bellow and the females attack your eardrums with shrill, high-pitched cliches that are so stupid that you're embarrassed to be in a crowd that isnt jeering at these idiots.

But the crowd wasnt listening enough to jeer or cheer. They were milling around, yakking, throwing the free water bottles around or just staring stupidly at each other. Not focused on the Center For Childrens Prosperity founder's heartfelt plea for more money from those evil rich people. Apparently the clueless evil rich people like the student body of USC who are paying $40k per annum to party in the groves of academe and who are just fine with their parents getting a big fat tax hike to support The Center For Childrens Prosperity and their ilk. They must have suspended classes that day to get this apple-cheeked, fashionably-dressed crowd of kiddies. Do universities still have classes on Fridays? Its an awful burden on the professors to not have a three day weekend to rest up from the grueling four-hour days they put in during the week and the students need some home time to download their term papers off the internet.

Then a local rock band came on. Fat white guys who did rock, rap, reggae...a wide range of styles, all of it bad. Emily and Nate, hardcore concert-goers, had their fingers in their ears. In the old days these buffoons would have been described as 'schleppers'; noisy, upbeat and awful! But they opened the real event. as the pain in our ears from the 'music' subsided the big names came on.

The first speaker was Kamila Harris, the Dem candidate for Attorney General, a woman so left wing that she had worn out her welcome in San Francisco. Thats left-wing. Her one aim in the campaign is to keep the Blue Staters focused on the 'D' next to her name and ignorant of her appalling record. The crowd treated her flat nasal whining with the contempt it deserved. No applause, no nothing.

Next was Jerry The Jerk (Jerry Brown to you out-of-staters) who has the same problem as Harris; anyone who knows what kind of a left-wing, incompetent, egotistical moron he is will be voting for his somewhat less liberal, possibly less incompetent but equally egotistical opponent. These USC kiddies were conceived long after Brown's disastrous two terms as governor and are too busy downloading free music to pay any attention to politics. Real Hope And Change types, Brown's core constituency. A couple of people clapped.

They should have had Jerry introduce Barbara Boxer but couldnt resist turning it over to another shouting nonentity, Hilda Solis, who completely lost the crowd within two seconds. But Babs arrived at the podium at last and began her rousing rhetoric. Babs is short. Too short for that venue and no one thought to bring a box for her to stand on. She was invisible to most of the crowd and her speaking style is monotonous and boring. Every so often she rises to an atonal squawk at the end of a sentence. Every word was a twenty-five year old potboiler progressivist cliche. The crowd was lost. Nobody came here to see any of these doofuses, of course, but even minimal courtesy was breaking down.

Finally Babs wrapped up and introduced The Man. The crowd perked up like the ears on a doberman when it hears the burglar jumping the fence. He's here! The first burst of actual enthusiasm occurred as El Presidente took his place between the teleprompters. People were climbing the trees in the quad and the crowd compressed forward. The speech began.

How did this guy ever get a reputation as a good orator? He has Jesse Jackson's policies but I've heard Jackson speak and now I've heard Obama speak and believe me there is NO comparison. The speech itself would have been a challenge to someone of Jackson's talents and was lead in the mouth of a much lesser speaker.

It turns out that the car is in the ditch and was so stuck there by the Bushies that when Obama got there he didnt have time to get the car out of the ditch but you see that when you want to move a car forward you put it in 'D' and backwards you put it in 'R'. The college-educated crowd was easily able to grasp this taut metaphor but by that point they werent listening.

OK dont listen to Kamila Harris or Jerry or Babs, that's understandable. But hadnt these people come to see Obama? The biggest cheer he got was when he arrived, always the sign of a bad show. In this milling crowd I was thinking about the driving metaphor...if the Republicans had driven the car forward into the ditch wouldnt putting the car in 'D' make it go deeper into the ditch? That seems to be the direction we're moving in with Obama. But I digress.

The most interesting thing about this whole speech was the complete lack of attention by the crowd. All the pleas to vote and tell all your friends to vote fell on deaf ears. I had gone to the first Tea Party rally on April 15th, 2009 and that small crowd, faced with what we all knew was the coming disaster, was focused and as enthused as it could be faced with the situation we were in. This Obama rally was nothing like that. This was a freak show. The crowd was here to see the Prez, not to listen to boring speeches. They saw him. That made them happy. But applause line after applause line got sparse applause; laugh line after laugh line got no laughs. This reminded me of a speech by Bob Dole I saw in the 1996 campaign. It was that bad.

I know this is anecdotal, that I'm often wrong, but I smell Dem disaster. The people at this rally were not filled with a grim resolve to go out and vote to save the Obamunist agenda. They didnt even have enough resolve even to listen to Obama when he was standing there right in front of them. There was no big traffic jam; the vast majority of the audience were USC students out for a lark. Will they vote? Not like 2008, you can be sure of that. The magic is gone, the dream has failed. The ADHD electorate barely remembers two years ago and they can clearly see the current failure. Obama's excuse that things were so bad when he arrived and that the Dems have made lots of progress fixing it got no applause at all, even from this crowd. They havent fixed anything. On November 2nd they will get skunked. Brown and Boxer will lose. The non-political default Democrats will not show up. They dont even want to think about whats going on around them. If you look at the polls it seems that there has been a minor 'counter wave' to the Republican wave of 2010. Some races that were Republican blowouts a couple weeks ago are now described as 'tightening up'. With the Dems making every political mistake in the book, with Obama running around the country saying things that can only be described as bizarre, with a raging population angry at just about everything the Demos have said or done in the last two years, with an economy that ensures that school-leavers and middle-aged downsize victims are looking at more or less permanent unemployment, what could be the cause of this unlikely surge towards the Party Of Compassion?

If you have a brain in your head you can see that nothing has changed in the political tide in the last year, except that people have gotten more mad and more frustrated with what has been going on. So where has this mysterious 'surge' come from? What has caused the tidal flow to start running in the direction of the Demos? All their negative attack ads? The ones in my state, Gollyvornia, have reached the point of absurdity. Barbara Boxer is attacking her opponent for supporting 'job-killing offshore oil drilling' and quotes the president of the Sierra Club to underline the seriousness of this charge. Its scary to live in a place where that is considered a winning argument. What kind of a moron do you have to be to swallow that? It turns out that Babs and Jerry Brown are the two most powerful engines of job creation since Henry Ford died.

With this Demo surge the Dems are acting very strangely. Instead of counterattacking into states that had formerly been leaning Republican that are now 'in play' according to the polls the Dems are sending their big guns and moola into places that have supposedly been sewed-up Blue. Why are they all going to Delaware? Did BJ Clinton hear about the herd of plump interns grazing in the fields just outside of Wilmington? Did Obama hear of a must-play golf course near Dover? Did Biden get lost trying to drive to West Virginia? If that creepy critter Coons had this seat in the bag why are the celebs all crowding into this hard-core Blue State?

And look at West Virginia. Manchin's numbers were tanking. All of a sudden some off-brand leftist group releases a poll that has him ten points ahead, it gets averaged into the RCP average and whoa! Manchin is ahead! There was some phony made-up story about Raece's ad agency casting 'hickey' actors but in a state worried about Cap And Trade anti-coal rules and super high unemployment is that 'hickey' piece of WaPo-NYT wonk-chow likely to change a single vote?

Here in my beloved home state of Gollyvornia there has been the same Demo bump but it seems to be sagging. Babs Boxer is a hard sell, probably because the assonance of her name makes it easy to snarl 'BAR-bra BO-xer!' in the ads attacking her. Even the most Photoshopped photos of her cant conceal her overripe condition and dwarf stature. Boxer has never polled at fifty percent. Now Fiorina is neck and neck and Babs knows that a low Demo turnout will Scott Brown her into the trash can of history.

Meanwhile back at the desert depression, there has been a mainstream media news blackout since Sharron Angle took the sniveling Majority Leader to the woodshed in their only debate. She's polling over fifty, the lines of Older White Males are around the block at the early voting stations and the hapless Reid campaign has shown its completely unable to come up with a new message that has any resonance. If there was a Dem surge surely the supposedly razor-tight Nevada Senate race would be up in the air. But it aint.

So what's with the Demo bump? Its easy. First, this happens in every election. In the last one there was a McLame bump a couple of weeks before the election. It was probably generated by a bunch of McLame-hating Tea Party-types who told the pollsters 'yeah, I guess I'll go vote for that moron' who were then counted as 'likely voters'. When it came right down to it they just couldnt get past the lines of glue-sniffing Hope And Change voters and the baseball-bat-wielding New Black Panthers to cast a vote for a stuttering liberal that everybody knew was going to get skunked.

The same thing is happening now. After being begged by Obama, Biden, BJ Clinton (not Hilly BTW), and every local Democrat that they can round up the Hope And Change voters are feeling guilty that they are having such ambivalent feelings about what's going on and are telling the pollsters that 'yeah, I guess I'll go vote for those morons.' So what has happened is that people who have seen that 800 number on their screen and picked up the phone and stayed on the line for the interview have included more Dems than there have been lately. This has generated a slight bump for the Dems.

The Dems need a bump like this two weeks out. What it does is generate money and volunteers for campaigns that are actually terminal. Sestak, Boxer, Feingold, Manchin, Murray all are watching the real numbers slip away. Boxer and Murray are also worried that the polls in their states will still be open while the Dem wipeout back East becomes crystal-clear, suppressing the Dem turnout in their states. The coming O'Donnell victory in Delaware could cause loses in Senate seats in CA and WA as Dems shrug and say 'whats the point?'

What will happen? In the last few days the pollsters, worried about their reputations, will tighten up their methodology. The last poll is the one that everyone looks at when they are judging how accurate any polling organization is. What these last weekend polls will show, when its too late to make a difference, is a huge Scott Brown-type surge all over the country but especially in places like Delaware, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Colorado and Illinois. And dare we hope New York? They will show a sudden surge towards the Repub candidates when in fact they are only showing what was there all along.

Republicans will vote this time and Dems will stay home. The real numbers on Nov. 2nd will bear this out. There wont be some huge turn on the last weekend; there was a huge turn the day that the stimulus failed to lower the unemployment numbers, the day that people realized that the Health Care Bill was going to raise their insurance rates to the breaking point, the day Obama stood up for the GZ mosque, the day the Dems jumped all over Arizona. The anger that was always there will still be there on Nov 2nd. The despair amongst the Hope and Changers will still be there. The X Factor in all this polling, turnout, will be shown to be all on the side of the Repubs.

And I will be in front of my TV set watching a weeping Chris Coons, a brave-in-defeat Bloomberg, a shocked Gianouliaus, a shell-shocked Harry Reid saying 'the election is lost' to a crowd of weeping public employees, a Mom In Tennis Shoes cursing the voters in Washington and most of all I will be dancing and cheering as an over-coiffed, sawed-off little shrimp of a haggard Marxist dwarf berates the Tea Party extremists here in Gollyvornia who wouldnt let her return to the Senate.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-36971817437792746082010-10-16T18:21:00.000-07:002010-10-16T21:04:16.086-07:00Harry Goes To Girlie World
I tell myself I dont believe a word in the mainstream media. I sat down to watch the Reid-Angle debate thinking myself free from that little curling-lip sneer of contempt that Chris Matthews has when he talks about Sharron Angle. But you know what? I was resigned. I know she's right and he's wrong but c'mon guys, this is a housewife from Ely, Nevada going up against the Senate Majority Leader.

Have you even been to Ely, Nevada? Its small. Its real small. The big bragging point is that its right near the largest open pit copper mine in North America. The only time I went there I took a great panorama of the copper mine but no shots of Ely itself. A couple of tiny casinos, a couple of legal whorehouses; other than that it could be any small western town. Bigger than Searchlight, I'll grant you that, but to my urban eyes Ely is a tiny cow town.

So this Ely housewife has the audacity, after twenty or thirty million bucks worth of ads branding her as a mental defective, after Chris' rolling eyeballs and contemptuous curling lip, after the news media highlighting every stumble, every slip and weaving the tapestry of a mentally-challenged extremist lunatic; after all that this woman has the temerity to walk onto the stage with the third most powerful person in a country of 300 million people and debate him? I was prepared to weep. To explain things away. To be charitable. But my heart sank at the thought of what I was going to see. The Big Lie wins again and control of the Senate is lost. Chris' curling lip had gotten to me. I live in LA. I'm way closer to Chris than I like to think.

But Mama Angle walked into the Debate Kitchen and opened up a family-sized can of Whuppass and she served it to the mighty Majority Leader piping hot. From being resigned to Angle losing and hoping against hope that she would do well enough to survive I began to feel sorry for Harry Reid. Yes, you read it, I felt sorry for the guy. It was like on the elementary school playground watching the class sissy get beat up by one of the tough girls from one of the upper grades. I literally couldnt believe it! She didnt take any of his crap.

She whupped him, she whupped him bad. There wasnt one single Harry Reid moment in the entire debate. This was the Rodney King beating, debate-style. Watching Harry, quivering like my chihuahua does in the vet's waiting room, twisted onto the podium like he needed a giant dose of Preparation H, trying to run away from himself, was painful. He didnt take credit for any of the last four years. Or blame. You would have thought that the guy who was on the air in commercials every five minutes on every channel talking about how Nevadans needed the influence of a powerful man in the Senate would at least admit that he had occasionally visited the place. He was like one of those career criminals who infest MSNBC after the commies go home, guys that describe the crimes they've committed in the most neutral terms, as though they had only observed that a 7/11 had indeed been robbed and somehow a bullet had found its way into the clerk.

The two big zingers were the one about Social Security and the one about how Reid made his money. Sharron Angle turned to that weedy, lying, Uriah Heep-like varmint as he toted out the shopworn liberal lie that she wanted to take away every senior citizen's Social Security checks and told him to fess up about the theft of a trillion dollars from the so-called trust fund to pay for his giant useless government programs. She painted that low-down weasel as the Bernie Madoff of Social Security and she did it in hot colors. She said it mad! Man up you skinny little chicken...you stole everybody's money! I dont remember his answer. Who cares what he said? This was reality TV at its finest! Sharron Angle is the Snookie of politics!

Then she said it. At first I didnt believe my ears. I know Reid didnt believe his ears. If this had been a fight the referee would have stopped it. No one ever dares to ask big time politicians this question...'How have you managed to become one of the richest men in the Senate on the government salaries you have earned all your life?' Willie Brown lived in a mansion, drove a new Porsche and wore $1000 hand-tailored suits on his income of $40k per annum and nobody ever asked him that question. Reid's eyes bugged out. He looked like he had gotten his wing-tip stuck in an electrical socket. It was Dan Quayle after Lloyd Bensen said, "You're no Jack Kennedy."

"That was a low blow..." he gasped before he explained that he was lawyering and investing in his spare time, dontcha know. See, the guy that not only read the danged Health Care Bill but wrote all 2,000 pages of it and wouldnt let anybody else see it until after they voted on it, Mr. Obsessive Knit-Picker Detail Man has got plenty of time on his hands and he uses this spare time to earn hundreds of millions of dollars. Thats like one of those ads that used to be on the backs of comic books; 'Earn Thousands In Your Spare Time.' Harry's the right age. Maybe he clipped that coupon, mailed off his $1.98 and got the secret to earning huge amounts of money in his spare time. And I thought I was so smart not being dumb enough to send my meager allowance off to an obvious fraud. An obvious fraud like Reid's answer. We all know how he got rich...he's a crook, that's how!

None of the rest matters. In those two magic moments Angle paid Reid back for every insult, every attack ad, every lie he tells about her. The curled lip the next day on Chris Matthews' face was for Reid, not Angle. The panel shook their heads solemnly. How could Reid let himself get sucker-punched like that? And then silence. How could this have happened? He got into a debate with a media-certified retard...and he lost! You can tell how badly she beat Reid by observing that within 24 hours of the debate there was almost total media silence about the debate or the candidates. The state of Nevada disappeared from political maps behind the noble commentators.

Too late. Angle has destroyed the narrative that Reid and his advertising geniuses had spent tens of millions of dollars constructing. His aura of competence was destroyed as was hers of extremism. She asked the questions any person would want to ask one of these big shots, and now one of us got the chance to do it. I was convinced Angle would win the election before this but she could have lost the debate and the election. It took a lot of guts to come at Reid like that, not many people would have been able to keep it going the whole time. A miracle might still save Harry Reid but no one will ever be able to say that Angle didnt have the Mighty Majority Leader whining and on the ropes. You go girl!skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-34882481790411690602010-10-14T08:08:00.000-07:002010-10-14T09:54:37.160-07:00Desperation 2.0
I'm scared. The Chamber Of Commerce wont release its donor list and they're fooling honest Americans into canceling my health care by voting for extremist Teabaggers. If this foreign-funded Chamber Of Commerce plot succeeds all the air will be polluted and the Earth will catch fire and we'll all die a horrible death just like the polar bears! You think I'm crazy? Well PROVE that stuff isnt going to happen! Ha! I've got you there, dont I?

Welcome to the World Of Axelrod. Even a slavish liberal mainstream-media bootlicker like Bob Schieffer couldnt deal with it; the look on his face was the one usually reserved for someone like Sarah Palin or Christine O'Donnell when they talk about spending cuts. In shock he asked, "Is that all you've got?"

It is all they've got! Their unpopular agenda fails more every day. This month's undercurrent of failure is the apparent destruction of Medicare as private insurers drop Medicare Advantage plans, doctors opt out of the program entirely and prescription drugs take a huge jump in price. Seniors living on Social Security who have been told that inflation is so completely non-existent that they havent had a cost of living increase in two years are realizing what Hope And Change might mean for them. You see there is no inflation if you take food, energy and medical care out of the equation. These dumb, shovel-ready seniors are overlooking the fact that they can go down to the local auto dealer and purchase a brand spankin' new Jaguar for a lot less than they would have had to pay two years ago. It all averages out... but NO! that foreign Chamber Of Commerce money has blinded them, making them think that they are much worse off than they were under the Evil Bush.

The Evil Bush is looking mighty good these days as the undignified and cravenly dishonest current president flies from campaign stop to campaign stop blaming his abject failures on Karl Rove, Ed Gillespie, the oil companies, Big Insurance, greedy Wall Street speculators, teabaggers, and lazy Democrats who wont vote while at the same time he brags about how many cushy, overpaid, useless government jobs he's saved to audiences filled with desperate people hoping Barak will announce some plan to get us out of the current morass. The tangled metaphor about giving the car keys back to the people who drove us into the ditch is a little shopworn after the car has somehow slipped deeper into the ditch during the last couple of years instead of moving back towards the road. What have these idiots done to get the car out of the ditch or even to stop it sliding farther in?

But this must be Recovery Autumn if it follows Recovery Summer! The 20% unemployed populace is unable to look past their foreclosure notices and unemployed school leavers and suicidal middle-aged relatives and realize that there are some great statistics out there proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that any so-called 'recession' ended nearly a year ago. What are you going to do with people that stupid?

The Dems have trotted out their not-so-secret weapon...BJ Clinton. They figure that in Blue States that are turning Red that a look at BJ and hearing a few of his absurdly dishonest soundbites will bring the apparently confused independents and Reagan Democrats back to the fold that the left-wing radical policies of Pelosi, Reid and Obama have chased them from. Clinton looks like Bilbo Baggins after he got to Rivendell; old age and too much Cialis have finally caught up with him. The old fire is gone and in some of these races even a visit by BJ is pointless. It just reminds people that every Democrat is one hundred percent behind the policies that have caused so much misery. Telling people to 'stay the course' when they see their country and their lives falling apart is counterproductive politically.

Now that people really want and need some Hope And Change telling them how great things are and how we need to stay the course is not really the right approach. But the Dems, and especially the ones in the White House, figure they've already delivered a truckload of Change and they Hope you like it. We dont. Nobody does. Even hardcore Democrats are moody and defensive. They'll vote against the current mess by staying home. The polls are trying to measure likely voters and are giving grudging 'I guess I'll vote' Democrats the same weight in surveys as 'I cant wait to get to the polls to send those creeps a message' Republicans and Independents. The polls are way oversampling Democrats.

The Democrats know it, too. Why are they sending money and key people to Delaware? According to everyone that race is completely sewed up. Why the air of desperation in the supposedly ahead in the polls Barbara Boxer campaign? Its the Scott Brown effect. Was Brown ever ahead in the polls? Maybe in the last couple of days but no one believed he could win. Now we see the same poll numbers flowing slowly towards candidates like McMahon in Connecticutt and even towards O'Donnell in Delaware. In both of those cases we're not supposed to judge female candidates on their good looks so we'll just concentrate on the spectacular unphotogenicness of their male opponents. Those feral-looking critters are TV poison. They dont have a tenth of the pizzaz the gals they're running against have. I've been in the TV industry all my life and let me tell you that when you're selling anything on TV LOOKS MATTER! MESSAGE MATTERS!

The only message the Democrats, who have controlled Congress for four years and Congress and the White House for two years is that each individual Republican candidate in every race has such a horrendous past life that a vote to put them into office is a vote to turn your nation over to a pack of heartless criminals. The ads for every Democratic candidate for every competitive office are exactly the same; this guy/gal is unfit for office and belongs in a jail/insane asylum. Every business person is accused of driving jobs overseas, even if they ran a Subway franchise in South Dakota. The nasty opposition research is all they've got. No Hope. No Change. Just smears. It wont work.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-31287218816395184962010-10-12T08:50:00.000-07:002010-10-12T11:37:19.877-07:00The Senatorial Wave
Last week's mainstream media fantasy was that the Republican tide had crested and was now ebbing. The media and the libs have always been under the mistaken impression that if only they could find the right tone to take, if they could just adjust the message a bit, the independents would break their way, the Dem base would be energized and the magic of 2008 would repeat itself. The smug smiles of the lib pundits were oozing all over my TV screen as they announced that Pelosi would hold the House and that the Senate was safe for the sure-to-be returning Harry Reid.

As the Dems see it this current wave of rage is non-specific, directed against 'incumbents' and not related to anything they might have done. According to the leading experts the recession ended almost a year ago so cant we all just get with the program? Look at all the growth statistics! The market's up, the bonuses got delivered on time...whats wrong with these flyover idiots? OK, the boobs in the Red States might get fired up, that's no surprise; these rednecks are generally irascible and we all know that they are racists at heart. Everybody knows those signs at the Tea Party rallies against Pelosi and Reid are just a blind to cover up the racism against Obama. But c'mon...Kentucky? Arkansas? Missouri? Deep redneck country.

Well Missouri is a bit of a disappointment. With the ballot-box-stuffing operations in St. Louis and Kansas City Missouri had become very competitive for Democrats but last week, in the middle of this supposed Democrat recovery in the polls, the Democrat Senatorial Committee pulled all its money out of the Missouri race. There arent any Red States where any Dem Senate candidate has a ghost of a chance. Florida, long a Dem hope, is gone. North Carolina, New Hampshire...all long gone into the red column.

But where the Dem's hearts have been broken is in Ohio, Colorado, Robert Byrd's West Virginia, Barak's old seat in Illinois, Harry Reid's baronial estate of Nevada, Washington and even the perpetually blue California. They should not have to be spending a penny in any of these but the first two. California has always been a cash cow for out-of-state Dems to raise money for tough campaigns but the aging and stumbling Boxer is in huge trouble and sucking up every penny her union owners can spare. As a long-time resident of Cali I can witness to the fact that the public polls always way oversample Democrats but even with that said Boxer has yet to crack 50% in any poll. The turnout will determine this race and I think Babs is in big trouble.

Ohio is a long-held dream for the Dems. This is the ultimate state for them, the state that could have made John Kerry, the only person in the country less qualified for the Presidency than Barak Obama, president. If Ohio would turn Blue America would be Blue forever. Not this year. Ohio is blood red. The Dems dream of bagging a Repub stronghold is gone. Nevada, a state I grew up in and have visited several times in the last couple of weeks on family business, is gone. I dont care what the polls say, its not even going to be close. People hate Reid, even the ones who will vote against Angle. There is no chance for him to pull this out at this point. After tens of millions of dollars in smear ads any more spending would be like laying poultices on a dead man.

Now the real bad news for the left. The fight is in the Blue States, states they shouldnt have to be fighting for at all. Pennsylvania is over, Washington is sliding out of reach, Feingold is tanking in Wisconsin and now the Dems are diverting resources and campaign visits by the celebs to Connecticut and Delaware in a last desperate gasp to retain control of the Senate.

In this landscape of disaster the Dems have yet to admit that their own actions are behind this almost universal rejection of their candidates. The only criticism of the completely failed 'Stimulus' program is that they didnt spend enough. Health Care is unpopular, according to the lefties, because Big Insurance is using the love that all good rednecks have for them to turn the populace against what's good for them in the long run. There's no Depression; this is Recovery Summer! The debt is all Bush's fault.

But its a summer where millions of middle-aged people have lost their jobs forever, where college grads are home living with Mom and Dad wondering how they'll be able to make the next payment on the six-figure student loans that financed their worthless degrees. The people still working are gripped with terror that they are on the list for the next cut by their employers. Every industry is cutting workers and even minimum-wage fast-food jobs wont touch a 55 year old laid off middle manager. The Dems have taken every opportunity to insult regular Americans with stuff like the Ground Zero Mosque and calling the people in Arizona racists for complaining about their state being overrun by foreign criminals.

The truth is that the lie that had sustained the Dems for nearly a generation was cast aside in their euphoria in 2008. Demos had always run on the lie that they were way more conservative than they were. They painted themselves as a more humane alternative to those crabby, country-club Republicans. In 2008 they mistook a turnout by the Marching Morons to support the Hope And Change fairytale as real support for their leftist agenda so they abandoned the pretense of moderation and for a year they partied, secure in the knowledge that the country, except for a few pathetic teabaggers waving their sad little homemade signs in the public park, loved them and believed in what they were doing.

One in five is either unemployed or underemployed. The Iranians are developing nukes and we have lost the ability to do anything about it. The dollar is falling. The Bush Tax Cuts will expire on Jan 1, further tanking the sick economy. If capital gains rates are due to double at the end of the year you can look for a wave of selling in the stock market that could turn into a stampede down to 5 or 6,000. Banks will teeter again as the wave of foreclosures intensifies and their 20%+ credit card rates push more and more people into default. The geniuses educated at Princeton and Harvard and similar 'elite' universities do not have sufficient knowledge or reasoning skills to deal with this and the Administration and top of the state and business bureaucracies are composed of nothing but careerist Ivy Leaguers, completely at sea but convinced of their own infallibility.

The Senate will be Republican. They will gain at least twelve seats. Most of the races wont even be close. The House will be a similar wipeout. Barry Obama will be faced with a Congress controlled in both houses by a majority which will contain a minority of energized ultra- conservatives brought into office on a wave of anger and a faction of 'moderates' who are now terrorized that they are on the Tea Party death list for 2012 and who wont be crossing the aisle anytime soon. Meanwhile the demoralized Dems will have to contend with the fact that their leader in the White House is an arrogant, out-of-touch, hopeless incompetent and that its every man for himself. The idea that the Dems will walk away from an historic defeat and pass Cap And Trade and Card Check in the lame duck session is ludicrous. They cant be that stupid, can they?skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-82918391510071249852010-09-16T11:25:00.000-07:002010-09-16T20:26:54.237-07:00Watch Out Barry!
Michelle sez its HELL in the White house! She cant even go on a junket to Spain without a clamor of criticism. This is not how unlimited total power was supposed to be. Those of us who have lived with a wife unhappy about the life we've sweated blood to achieve had to have a moment of sympathy for Barry, regardless of our political persuasion. Of course the usual spokespeople have issued statements saying that Michelle never said that and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, whose tell-all book is the source of the quote, denies that its in the book. We can still imagine the tense meals, the false smiles in public and the scowls after the last guest leaves, the cold showers...its not fun when your old lady is in a bad mood and blames you for it.

Things havent worked out all that well for poor Barry since he got his promotion. Before he became president his life was different. A cushy college gig, a little community organizing, supervising the ghost writer on the books and then the seat in the Illinois legislature. The 100% Democrat district Barry came from had no political opposition. You just had to cozy up to egomaniacs like Rev Wright, guys who had a few thousand voters to herd down to the polls, and bingo, elected and re-elected as long as you like. Just kick back and vote 'Present' and let the goodies flow. Your wife gets a phat no-show $300,000 per annum 'public relations' job with a firm that does a bunch of business with the state and your good pal Rezko 'sells' you property and forgets to cash your check.

Obama had no primary opposition worth talking about when he ran for the US Senate and the media destroyed his Republican opponent so he waltzed into office basically unopposed. But the Senate was boring. He had been launched into the public eye by giving the only decent speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention. Barry looked around at the raft of likely opponents to the Democratic presidential nomination and realized that the likes of Dodd, Kucinich, Richardson, and Biden werent likely to appeal to any non-drooling-Americans and that all that stood between him and The Big Enchilada was the repulsive and much hated in the Demo party Hillary Clinton. His view that she was much weaker than it seemed was confirmed when he started exploring the subject and instantly was buttonholed into backroom conversations with almost every prominent Democrat, all of them urging him to run.

And run he did. His advisors figured out an under-the-radar caucus strategy that played into Obama's strengths and accented Hillary's weaknesses. After Barry's initial win in Iowa the media got the message and he could do no wrong. Hillary had her minor ups and major downs but the betrayal by her former friends and allies in the party and a negative media that the Clintons had never experienced were enough to encourage her to finish herself off in a pathetic tangle of acrimony and gaffes.

And Barry had The Speech. There were variations but lets face it, Obama was no Bill Clinton. He didnt bob and weave and deliver brilliant off the cuff remarks on that day's issues. There was no hugging audience members at townhalls. He borrowed the Clinton's method of planted questioners at townhalls and memorized his lines adequately. But he kept it all vague and was never troubled by any taxing questions from the bum-crawling Matt Lauers and Katie Courics that his handlers allowed near him. Obama just kept repeating the same speech and the audience swooned. He was so not Bush!

Meanwhile a crowd of conniving DC Republiclowns used open primaries and the media's urge to help select the weakest possible opponent for the empty suit Obama to come up with an opponent so weak that it must have reminded Barry of running unopposed back in the Chicago days. This aged, sputtering, stumbling liberal, despised by the rank and file of his party and totally intimidated by Obama's dark skin and glowing radicalism was further hobbled by the financial meltdown that the supine and torpid Bush was happy to let the media blame on Republiclowns.

Then the Goody-train rolled! The Nobel Peace Prize for nothing! Being compared to a demi-god in the media. A huge majority in Congress thanks to the foolish 'Hope And Change' morons who managed to find their way to the polls and voted for everything with a 'D' next to it because that was the last letter of the alphabet they could remember. RINO Specter turned into a Demo and voila! The Agenda was in the bag. He sat back, feet on his desk, while Pelosi and Reid passed a trillion buck stimulus and a budget with a deficit of 1.6 trillion smackers and put Obamacare in line for a quick rubber stamp enactment while he assembled the list of other bills for them to pass.

Thats when it happened. It never would have happened in Chicago. It never would have happened in Illinois. But it happened. Opposition. Determined opposition. Opposition against the mainstream media, the Congress, the Agenda and HIM! In his whole life nothing like that had ever happened. His Oprah-fueled Olympic bid for Chicago was laughed off, even in spite of his personal visit. A malicious God, Christian or Muslim, it doesnt matter, sent an Ice Age blizzard and a blizzard of stolen ClimateGate e-mails to destroy what should have been a triumphant climate summit in Copenhagen.

And all the time those mobs. Mobs of angry people. Small at first but with time they grew. Democrats would go home to their districts and be assailed by everyone, all angry about deficits and the monster of Health Care. His critics on the right, especially on talk radio and the internet were landing blow after blow. The poll numbers started to sag. Health Care took months longer than it should have and finally had to be sneaked into law by a procedural trick because enraged voters had turned on the Democrats and awarded Ted Kennedy's old Senate seat to a Republican! And not the Mitt Romney or Bill Weld type Republiclown that you would expect from Massachusetts but an actual conservative who flew to DC and cast the 41st vote to filibuster ObamaCare.

It got worse. The trillion dollar stimulus didnt stimulate anything but the appetite of greedy public employee unions for more money. The perceived failure of the Obama economic agenda fueled more anger. Every left-wing cultural pronouncement started a new fire as soon as they left his lips. The perception was spreading that the people had been lied to by the Democrats in 2008. Their election-season pretense of moderation was thrown aside when they won their huge victory and looked at the pathetic Republiclowns, clinically dead it seemed. The Dems announced the end of conservatism and openly revealed just how far to the left they were. Bad mistake. Pretending to be conservative was a long-honed Democratic survival skill and they had been premature in their perception that the conservatives had been defeated forever.

The conservatives werent dead. They were furious. Their arguments about the likely results of these Democratic policies was borne out by events. Everything the conservatives said would happen happened. Everything the Demos said would happen turned out to be either wrong or a flat-out lie. The conservatives were joined by the independents and proceeded to turn on the liberal RINOs in the Republican party. That process ended yesterday with the victory of O'Donnell in Delaware. The national Republiclowns have been paid back for jamming that McLame down our throats. They have been humiliated at every turn.

And now its Barry's turn. The Dems clutch the polls pathetically. Its not so bad. We might hang on to the House, you never know, a meteor might hit! They delude themselves with hopes that a blowout in the Senate can be averted but as the polls sink, the unemployment numbers rise and the rage grows their ancient stalwarts are facing fresh, articulate conservatives who dont have to lie about what they believe like liberals do. Reid, Boxer, Murray, Feingold, Blumenthal, Manchin, Coons and Gillibrand are all naked and defenseless as the tsunami approaches. Others are already lost and beyond hope.

Barry will face Boehner as Speaker and an empowered McConnell as Senate Majority Leader. He has never been in a position like this in his entire life. His inability to lead rock solid Democrat majorities in Congress is stark and obvious, now he faces a much more daunting task. McConnell has shown himself to be a wily and dangerous adversary when he had 41 members in his caucus. What will he be like with 52 or 53? The days of an Elena Kagan waltzing into a Supreme Court seat are over. So are the days of $1.6 trillion deficits. Major sectors of government will not be quietly handed to faceless bureaucrats without any Senate involvement. Investigations with teeth will be launched. ObamaCare is in trouble.

A Bill Clinton, a man with boundless energy, long experience and clever mien was confronted with a much less hostile situation and learned to fight and compromise. A four-hour-a-day amateur like Obama? How will he handle it? He'll hand off all his responsibilities to staffers and go on vacation. The Agenda will be dismantled, the dream will die. In 2012 Barry will depart to a mansion where he can nurse his bruised ego for the rest of his life.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-73176665788180754772010-08-30T08:43:00.000-07:002010-08-30T11:23:11.521-07:00Who Will Rid Us Of That Turbulent Beck?
Here in California's 30th Congressional district, strung across the low range of mountains that curve through the center of Los Angeles, I guess you could say we are one of the most left-wing districts in the country. We include West Hollywood, a city as solidly gay as the Castro district of San Francisco; Beverly Hills and Bel Air, home of the richest and most radical loony members of the Hollywood film community; Malibu, a beachside community inhabited by rich and poor permanently stoned hippies; Woodland Hills, where the film industry worker bees make their hives; and a chunk of Ventura county thrown in to absorb a few Republican votes in a huge Democratic majority.

Our Congressperson? Henry Waxman. You've heard of Hank, he investigates stuff. If we launch a much-needed investigation of those Islamophobes who are thwarting The Mosque Of Osama's Victory at Ground Zero like Speaker Nancy wants, ole Hank will probably be sitting front and center pounding his gavel like the Reform Jewish Roland Freisler that he is. Maybe he'll hold off till after the election. Part of Hank's Westside constituency is the Westside Jewish community. These devoutly liberal Jews are in some distress these days at the prospect of a Second Holocaust brought on by the wrong-headed and unfair treatment of Israel and the pass given to Iran by that duo of closet Jew-haters Barak Obama and his totally clueless Secretary Of State, The Divine Miss Hilly. Not big mosque supporters. Now these stalwart Democrats are as likely to vote Republican as the equally rock-ribbed Demos down in Maxine Waters' 35th are to throw Maxine under the bus and mount a write-in vote for Hugh Hewitt but they will vote for the Dems with a troubled heart. Or stay home.

But left wing or not the proud citizens of the 30th will listen respectfully to a sincere profession of one's Christain faith and, while they might disagree with it they will give the speaker due respect for his beliefs. NAH! Just kidding. We sneer at those losers. I mean gimme a break with your Ten Commandments! What about the Spanish Inquisition? And Global Warming? And pedophile priests?

Sometimes I sneak into my studio/garage, throw a blanket over my head and (dont tell anybody) watchglennbeck. I know its uncool, really uncool and I dont do it all the time because to be honest with you Glenn's schtick gets on my nerves, not a tenth as much as O'Reilly, but still I cant deal with it all the time. But he hits the nail on the head quite often.

Like he did Saturday. The first thing you have to say about that event was Beck's genius in telling people NOT to bring signs. As a TV person should Beck considered the effect of half a million people each making a visual statement. The cameras would gravitate to the few that reinforce their contention that all these Beck viewers are a bunch of extremist troglodytes. Instead they were forced to show a quiet, well-behaved group with a multitude of American Flags. No overtly political statement was made but that was another aspect of this that was such genius. In the commentary about the march from the media and the left the insults flew fast and furious from the usual clowns but they didnt match the behavior of that crowd. This wasnt an angry pack of racists, nativists and homophobes gathered to scream insults at the top of their lungs at their favorite minorities. It was a huge group of people praying in the Mall at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial under a huge banner that read 'Restoring Honor'.

The Extremely Reverend Al Sharpton wasnt quite as dignified and his big angry mouth, flapping at a mile a minute pointed to the need for a little 'Restoring Honor' in the Civil Rights Industry. Imagine a vile poltroon like Sharpton, a greedy chiseler who has led angry mobs to murder and then profited by it, talking about MLK's legacy as though he was a part of it? That 'Restoring Honor' banner was the most overtly political statement anyone has made in a long time. Al Sharpton is far from the only leftist whose honor could do with a bit of restoration. Its time that the left stopped throwing mud and stood up honestly for their ideas. But in the honor-deficient New York Times another liberal icon, Frank Rich, correctly put his stubby little finger on the source of the turnout--a Libertarian Conspiracy. It seems that those dull-witted Christians were manipulated into following Beck like sheep by a couple of billionaire 'Koch brothers' without even knowing it.

Even Sarah Palin was a disappointment to the media. They had their sneering Momma Grizzly asides already written but Sarah stayed true to the supposedly apolitical nature of this march and talked about how proud she was of her combat-veteran son. How embarrassing was that? The media only reports on Bristol anyway, those other kids are boring. The most insulting thing they do to Palin is the headline coverage they give to that brainless and honorless lump of a Levi Johnson while they spiked the honor-deficit Al Gore's 'sex poodle' story entirely.

But in a way the media were right. This was a profoundly political march. 'Restoring Honor' is fightin' words to liberals who have lied and fudged their way into positions of power by pretending to be much less liberal than they are and launching smear attacks against their opponents. Liberals who add illegal felon votes and prevent military votes from being counted to elect the most nauseating human being ever to hold a Senate seat, Al Franken. are devoid of honor. How many climate scientists have been shut out of publication and employment by these 'honorless' Global Warmers? In California the lives of 100,000 farmers and farm workers were ruined by a judge ruling in favor of a couple of dozen fish and two loathsome elitist US Senators, Boxer and Fonebone working with the environmental extremists. In Louisiana another hundred thousand have had their lives ruined by Obama's drilling ban imposed after Obama and his environmentalist advisers completely screwed up the response to the BP oil spill.

Socialism or leftism is built on a lie. Lenin, their unspoken God, requires leftists to lie in the same way Mohammed demands jihad from Muslims. Its a central tenet of leftism to modify history. Orwell's genius book '1984' was mistakenly labeled fiction but was in fact a factual description of Doublethink, the ability to forget anything that doesnt reinforce the current party line. On August 22, 1939 every leftist in the world was screaming their hatred of Hitler. On August 23 Hitler and Stalin became allies and every leftist was screaming for Peace, right up until June 22, 1941. On June 23, the day after Hitler betrayed his loyal ally, the left was screaming for total war against Hitler as though they always had. History was later altered to remove any trace of the turnaround.

We spent eight years watching the Clinton's and their Democrat enablers lying brazenly and at top speed as the Clints took bribes from the Chicoms to enable the Chinese military to buy advanced missile technology that is now aimed at us. We watched BJ veto a balanced budget three times until some of the cuts were restored. Then he spent the next decade bragging loudly about how he balanced the budget. We watched a War Room that launched lying smear campaigns against BJ's many enemies. We watched the chief law enforcement officer of our nation raise his hand in a deposition and swear to tell the truth and then look the judge in the eye and lie. Character (honor) didnt matter, the economy was great!

Today we see those lies and those liars once again in charge of our nation. They have won a majority in the legislature that hasnt been seen since the days of Lyndon Johnson by lying about what they intended to do. Without any real opposition and presuming that they were elected to be who they were the libs ripped off their moderate mask and loudly and proudly came out of the socialist closet. Their economic philosophy, firmly applied, has caused a Depression. Their misguided ideas have turned the United States from a world superpower into a world joke. Their leader, the Avatar Of Hope And Change, has proven to be a shifty, dishonest, petulant, empty-suited phony who has dragged the honor of our nation into the mud again and again. These shameless liars refuse to admit that anything that has happened is a result of their own actions. They lie and now everybody knows that they are lying. Honor is an issue.

When the libs see a banner that reads 'Restoring Honor' they know what it means. So do we. That's political.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-69755388998904811372010-08-15T21:33:00.000-07:002010-08-15T23:16:24.949-07:00They Truly Dont Get It
I was watching a discussion of The Mosque Of Osama's Victory on Fox News Sunday. This was following up on the two guests in the opening segment Senators Cornyn (R-Texas) and Reed (D-Oregon). Sen. Reed had made the following statement:

On "Fox News Sunday," Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.) said troops in Afghanistan are being asked to find common ground with Muslims. "If we can't do that here in the United States, we're going to have a very difficult time over there."

None of the panelists discussing this subject later in the show; a liberal reporterette from the Washington Post, the co-publisher of a conservative magazine that backed McCain in the last election, a press secretary to the former President (the one responsible for all of Obama's mistakes), and a fairly straightforward reporter; found that statement objectionable or upsetting at all. Or even worth talking about. The idea that soldiers in combat were working to find common ground with the Taliban and the hostile opium-growing savages who support them is an example of the twisted sociological doublethink that the entire elite culture in this country has fallen victim to. After all Julius Caesar and Napoleon both spoke at great length at the need to reach a workable understanding with one's adversaries. Or was that Honorius?

This Mosque Of Osama's Victory is not an isolated issue. In Fort Hood Major Nidal Hasan stood on a table in a mess hall firing into a crowd of diners, killing 12 wounding 30 or so. As he fired his gun he yelled, "Allahu Akbar!" It later turned out that he was exchanging e-mails with the head of an Al Qaida group in Yemen, Anwar al-Awlaki. He attended prayer at a notorious local radical mosque. He made frequent crazy and violently jihadist statements but the officers who reported this to their superiors soon realized that they were jeopardizing their careers by opening their mouths. All of Hasan's contacts and questionable statements were known to the authorities. These authorities received orders from the highest levels to leave Maj. Hasan alone and ignore his inflammatory statements. Why was this scorpion, this enemy of our country allowed to continue in this way for years and still retain his commission in the US Army? Why did the Army report of this terrorist attack by this Islamonazi not mention the words terrorist or Islam? Google the story. The only news stories that identify Major Hasan as a Muslim with links to Al Qaida are British. Our own masters think we're too stupid and excitable to be told the truth.

Same with the Panty Bomber. We got an earful of offensive constitutional blather from our Attorney General justifying their complete botch of the entire incident. They Mirandized this dangerous terrorist when quick questioning could have led to quick action. If these drooling clowns were capable of quick action, which they're not. Every military action has to be approved by the committee with the rights of the terrorists and their surrounding supporters duly considered, of course. They dont understand things like surprise and hitting back as hard as you can. They're too busy finding 'common ground' to think that way.

The reason I was so shocked at the discussion on Fox News is that they didnt even have a hint of what is so glaringly obvious to the Tea Partiers or the rednecks or the bitter clingers...whatever words they have for us unpleasant types that insist that someone yelling loudly that they hate you and want to kill you, and who acts on it as often as they can, is a dangerous enemy to be fought with whatever means are the most effective. None of them in that discussion on Fox thought that. They didnt understand how angry and insulted people who have watched Christianity be vilified and driven from public life by these same elitists are to watch them suck up so shamelessly to a pack of ugly, violent Muslims who preach the enslavement of women and the destruction of our country with every breath. They're spending the same intensity in getting this Mosque Of Osama's Victory built as they spend trying to get the Ten Commandments removed from the front of some local courthouse in Mississippi. Citing the same twisted misreading of the constitution to back up their indefensible, and in this case completely contradictory, actions. The 'separation of church and state' is apparently not endangered by the State Department hiring Imam Rauf, the builder of the Mosque Of Osama's Victory, and sending him to the Middle East as a good will ambassador with US taxpayer funds to spend repairing crumbling mosques. None of the Fox panelists really understand that obscenities like this are why people feel so strongly about the Mosque Of Osama's Victory. They dont see Imam Rauf being hired by our government as a obscenity, its an interesting topic to be pondered between the latest opinion polls and the Preparation H commercial. This completely different take on the meaning of events like Mosque Of Osama's Victory and so many others, shows the gap between the aristocracy and the proletariat, to boil it down to the Marxist class analysis these silk-stocking types learned at their elite universities.

The elites want to build a bridge to these creeps. We want to fight them. Just like we want to have a real border and decide who stays in the country and under what terms without being called racists or preached to by foreign leaders while our president grins along. Thats why this election is different than any other election we've ever seen. The left has lost control of the agenda. Nothing they can say or do will ever get me and plenty of other people to prefer Harry 'The War Is Lost' Reid over Sharon Angle. No amount of television smear ads will erase that slimy traitor's sneering happiness at what he imagined was his country's defeat from my mind. Its going to be tough for Barbara Boxer to get people forget that she chose the Delta Smelt over 100,000 farmers and their employees. People in Louisiana are going to have a tough time trusting Democrats after one of their main industries was shut down by a shadowy council of anti-oil Greenies. People in Arizona arent going to forget Barry and Felipe standing together calling them racists. I'm not likely to forget that one soon myself. I burned with shame to live in a country that elected Barak Obama.

Finally, all over the country, regular people have seen through the lie that there are 'moderate' Democrats. The Democrats defend themselves by pointing to the actions of liberal Republicans and claiming that there is some great consensus for people being kicked around and disrespected by their government. The Republiclowns have found that in primary after primary the 'establishment backed candidate' is crushed by some person they see as a total Yahoo. Who would have thought prissy little Connecticut would turn into a political version of Wrestlemania? Last week's primaries must have sent a shock of fear through any Democrat who isnt getting high sniffing the ink from the editorial page of the New York Times. Very few of them, it turns out, because none seem to have noticed that in every primary in this entire season the turnout has been lopsidedly Tea Party. Or have admitted it. They think a few negative ads will herd those dopey Independents back into the fold as soon as they see what a bunch of goofballs got nominated in the primaries. Sorry Democrats. As long as you openly support The Mosque Of Osama's Victory no decent American will ever vote for you.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-18900224756306969192010-08-09T10:22:00.000-07:002010-08-09T15:25:50.368-07:00The Dem's Bridge To Nowhere
Just last week ten doctors and their helpers were murdered by the Taliban. They were giving medical care, free, to people in rural Afghanistan who never had seen a doctor before. The Taliban accused these troublemaking imperialists of being Christians and spies and hauled them from their surgeries and executed them. To be fair to the Taliban the 'Christian' charge was probably true. Advocating Christianity to Muslims, even if its only by your charitable example, violates Sharia Law after all.

Two Texas teenagers were murdered by their father because they were dating boys that he didnt approve of. The Egyptian-born father fled to a country where Sharia Law approves of honor killings and will protect him from extradition.

Every day, in this country, young girls are sexually mutilated by Islamic holy-women so that they will not be able to enjoy sex, a practice sanctioned under Sharia Law. Their clitoris is removed by an unwashed old lady with an unsterile exacto knife so they wont grow up to be the whores that their religious leaders describe American women as.

In England and Canada the spineless local authorities have allowed local Sharia Courts to handle cases of 'domestic violence' (aka wife-beating). Wife beating is sanctioned by Sharia Law and most traditional Islamic cultures consider a man who doesnt beat his wife occasionally as a negligent husband.

Now a group, its funding mysteriously secret (unlike our top secret Afghanistan archives), wants to build a Mosque Of Osama's Victory near the site of the 9/11 'man-caused disaster'.
The group wants to dedicate the mosque to the promotion of Sharia Law in this country. The leftists are outraged that the unwashed peasantry is in a lather about this gob of spit aimed at the collective face of a nation the left considers evil and describes this wonderful mosque as an 'outreach' and a 'bridge to understanding' between us and our misunderstood Muslim peace partners.

If there's anything that accentuates the contempt that the left has for the United States and its non-ivy-league-graduate proles its this issue. We all watched Eric Holder unable to speak the name of Islam when asked a direct question as to who might be waging a war of terrorism against us. We read the report of the Justice Department on the incident where an army doctor, who had been making violent jihadist threats openly for years, stood on a table emptying his pistol into his fellow diners and shouting 'Allahu Akbar'; the report that did not contain the word 'Islam' and overlooked his relationship with one of Al Qaida's leaders.

The panty-bomber, the large jihadist training camp in Arkansas, the years of sniveling an legal harassment to aid the vicious killers in Club Gitmo, the Obamunist's complicity in the release of the Lockerby monster, Hillary Clinton's silence about the condition of Muslim women at the giant UN Women's forum in China a few years ago, the complete silence on the motives of the DC snipers, the growing Somali terrorist community in Minnesota...the list is endless of the pusillanimous bum-crawling by the left to the savage, misogynistic religion of Islam.

Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), now up for reelection, shortly after 9/11 explained that the people of Afghanistan loved Osama Bin Laden because he had built so many great roads and day care centers in Afghanistan. At that time, during Taliban rule, many war widows starved to death because it was illegal for women to go outside in public unaccompanied by a male relative and also illegal for women to have a job. All women's medical care was forbidden because women doctors couldnt have jobs and men were forbidden to touch an unrelated woman. Patty Murray's traitorous tongue should drop out of her stupid mouth for saying that.

At a speech at Columbia former Iranian president Khatami explained his government's death penalty policy for homosexuals and was applauded, this in a place that violently attacked Ann Coulter because she was filled with hate. You see Conservatives can be for traditional marriage and that makes them hate-mongers but we have to build a bridge to people who not only advocate the death penalty to gay people but carry it out on a regular basis.

That's how far the liberals' self-hate and hatred of our country has taken them. Being opposed to a mosque whose mere existence is an insult to the memory of the thousands who had their lives cruelly ended in the name of Islam, a mosque dedicated to a system of laws that allow wife-beating, honor killings, female sexual mutilation and the legal judicial murder of homosexuals, is now seen by our Elitist masters as the epitome of intolerance. We're building a bridge of understanding, you see. Those Taliban guys probably were perusing the terrorist-friendly New York Times, a paper which describes them as 'activists' or 'militants', looking for the crossword puzzle and stumbled on an article about local opposition to the Mosque Of Osama's Victory and were so outraged at the intolerance of the American boobocracy that they were forced to take some kind of action to show that intolerance will not be tolerated.

But the lefties are right. After all, most of the world's evil has originated in the United States. Look at Hiroshima. In the same spirit that has raised the Mosque Of Osama's Victory in Manhattan could be applied to other historical crimes committed by our imperialistic nation. How about a biological research institute right next to the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor (another man-caused disaster) where Japanese doctors could further medical advances with experiments on human subjects arrested for participating in hate-filled Tea Party gatherings? The Heinrich Himmler Institute of Ethnic Studies right next to the Holocaust Museum in the heavily Jewish neighborhood of West Los Angeles? The possibilities are endless because the crimes of America are endless and the need for bridges is almost unbridgeable. And as far as executing Christians goes, what good leftist has ever found that to be a crime when some leftist dictator did it? Why condemn it now for niggling religious reasons?skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-73157710699520024242010-07-28T17:46:00.000-07:002010-07-29T07:50:39.122-07:00I'm Sick Of Those Dumb Conservatives!
Snivel, snivel, snivel...that's all you right-wingers do. Yeah, that's right, I'm talking to you buddy! Mister, oh I'll just pass a law to ask the government to do its job in the first place and feel all smug about it! We've got Chunks And Balances in this country Pal, that's in our Living Constitution, which reads (Living Amendment Catch 22- We can do anything you cant stop us from doing). Every time you trailer-trash racist teabaggers sneak some new outrage against Fairness through the legislature we've got judges to set you straight. Its about time you realized that everything that you want to do, every law you conservatives pass, every thought you have in your misguided, hate-filled, Limbaugh-saturated, pointy little craniums is totally and blatantly unconstitutional as the almost complete takeover of the judiciary and the ever more aggressive application of Marbury vs. Madison continues to point out.

Of course you original intent knuckleheads point out that Marbury vs. Madison is just the court giving itself unconstitutional powers and that if Jefferson was alive today he'd roll over in his grave but think of it this way; suppose you had a house in Arizona that was blocking the migratory patterns of the Hombres Mojados, on their way to El Norte to visit the emergency rooms and voting booths to which they flock. That's a violation of the Principle of Fairness if ever there was one. The plastic water bottles and disposable diapers left by their flocks are a charming addition to any homeowner's landscaping. Since us liberals live in upscale neighborhoods with high fences and have a need for cheap gardeners and maids very little harm is done if the lower orders, brutes that they are, feel angry that their towns are overrun and their taxes shoot higher and higher to pay the bill for the social services that our guests fleeing the poverty caused by American capitalist imperialism have a New Constitutional Right to. These Neanderthals should just think how much help they are being to the shareholders of the huge multinational corporations who dont have to pay for those social services out of their own dividends and bonuses. You're supposed to be pro-business you 'conservative' hypocrites!

Well, your stupid little law is heading for the Ninth Circuit Court Of Appeals where that outrage against humanity will be treated with the contempt it deserves. Those judges down at the 9th can spot a counterrevolutionary racist insult to the legal system in the wink of an eye. They are constrained by no statute or legal concept other than the Law Of Eternal Grooviness. Is Arizona 1070 groovy? I think not.

At this point we should take time out to think of how much progress we've made in the last generation. It used to be that it was minorities who were discriminated against and treated with disdain. Now, in the name of Progressive Progress we have transferred the discrimination and disdain to the majority. A neat trick, eh? We've only had to dump that old stodgy 'Rule Of Law' which was absolutely NOT GROOVY! If grooviness isnt a 'Natural Right' than granola isnt a natural food. Think about it, it makes sense!

Think of the dignity that you Conservos gain from having your rights denied and being constantly ridiculed and kicked in the teeth. You guys are noble. Really. I'm not being snidey, honest. But c'mon, you cant expect to tell people with degrees from Harvard and Stanford what to do. Democracy or not that's just not right. People with expensive degrees from hoity-toity universities are just smarter and so their opinions count while yours dont, no matter how many votes you get.

In fact thats why another 'law' is unenforced...the voter rolls are being stuffed with bogus registrants whose absentee ballots are filled out by helpful campaign workers (another important government service your tax dollars buy you for free) to keep the level of Fairness in equilibrium. If the Democrat's ideas are better isnt it FAIR that they have the deficit of votes made up so that we dont have more Norm Coleman's running around in the Senate?

So stop your bellyaching. The next time you go to cast your racist vote and there's some New Black Panther Party members waving baseball bats and screaming racist obscenities at you you can smile and say, "Hey! The Stimulus Bill has created some Green Jobs!" Just go home and sit back and imagine what disease you're going to be on a two-year waiting list for under Obama Care.

And, oh yeah, Have A Nice Day!skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-235938246708699262010-07-22T07:52:00.000-07:002010-07-22T09:10:28.003-07:00Another Fine Mess
Its too bad that Oliver Hardy is no longer available for the job of Barak Obama's press spokesman to replace the oleaginous and increasingly tongue-tied Gibbs. At least Ollie could have brought some clownish levity to the ongoing disaster of the Obama Administration. Not that Gibb's twisting dishonesty doesnt have an element of clownishness to it but its too obvious and frankly there isnt anything funny about what's going on. At least Ollie could pull off, "Well its another fine mess that Bush and the Republicans have gotten us into this time!" with a bit of style.

Whenever the Democreep's policies lead to failure and they're caught lying through their teeth they tend to fall back on style but that avenue of dishonesty seems to have failed with this lot. One of the things thats so hard for a humble right-wing blogger these days is the sheer number and clumsiness of their lies, the multiplicity of outrages and the titanic bungling that seem to be all that this administration is made of; which one are you mad at most? If you wait two hours to post your blog another Obama lie or disaster has already popped up.

Should I sneer with pride because I have been saying to the people who are buying gold that they are living in a fool's paradise if they think a socialist government is going to let them profit by their wise investment? Now we find that hidden in the 'Health Scare' bill's voluminous pages is a reporting requirement and tax on the sale of the shiny yellow metal. Guns and gold are registered for easy confiscation. But that wasnt this week's big outrage emerging from the 'Health Scare Bill'. The real corker is that Barry 'I'll Never Raise Taxes On People Making Less Than $200,000 A Year' Obama is now fighting the lawsuits against his 'mandate' that you buy health insurance, supposedly empowered by the Commerce Clause in the Constitution, by averring that it isnt a mandate at all but a tax, on the 50% who file and pay taxes. Of course the deserving freeloaders wont be asked to contribute, just you 'not paying your fair share' working chumps.

But this week's watchword has been 'racism'. As the Democreeps sink in the polls they whip out all their tired old shibboleths and get to work. The NAACP attacks the Tea Partiers as racists. The slimy Democreep hacks in a chat room for 'journalists' called 'Jour-No-List' are told by a professor at one of the elite schools of 'journalism' to change the subject from Obama's failures and lies by trumping up a charge of racism against some conservative; Fred Barnes or Karl Rove will do nicely. But somehow the subject got changed by the 'New Black Panther Party' screaming racial epithets at white people and preventing them from voting...and the subsequent refusal by our blatantly racist Attorney General to enforce yet another law. Preventing their opponents from voting is a pattern for these anti-American Democreeps. This week also had a story about how they were making it more difficult to count the ballots of armed fascist murderers (you know, the US military) because they are overwhelmingly Republican. Tossed out military voters helped 'elect' Al Franken to the Senate. They must be SO proud.

But then someone slipped Andrew Breitbart a tape of a federal official in the Agriculture Department giving a speech to the NAACP sneering about how she didnt do her job helping some white farmer whom she was sure 'felt superior' to her. Of couse it went viral everywhere but the Jour-No-List Gubmint Media. After their scummy treatment of the vast majority of 'racist' people in Arizona (and by implication all of the 70% of the people in the country who agreed with them) and the New Black Panther deal, and the re-emergence of the delightful racial demogog Rev Wright (Obama's official black father figure) the Obamunists were getting a little gun-shy. THEY were being accused of racism and, unlike the provably false charges leveled against the Tea Party by the always dishonest racial poverty pimps in the Black Caucus, the Obama Administration's egregious racism is on tape and public for all to see. They freaked out and the White House phoned the woman in her car as she was driving back to the office from some meeting and demanded she resign without ever asking for an explanation or having a hearing. Too bad the rest of the tape put her remarks in a much different context, turning the whole incident into a giant gaffe that discredited the Obama-commies and their running Jour-No-List dogs in the Gubmint Media, who panicked without even trying to look into the facts. Of course they assumed that the charges were true. In the twisted minds of liberals arent black bureaucrats supposed to hate white people? They're just not supposed to say it on tape. There's racists around here somewhere!

But that was all yesterday's news. It covered up the fact that President Hopeless has just inked another 2,000+ page legislative monstrosity called Fin-Reg. The two authors of the Fannie-Freddie real estate debacle (Frank & Dodd) have written a bill that will magically, without any hearings, debate or honest reportage in the Jour-No-List media, fix the entire workings of the financial markets. The draconian rules against derivatives and other things the commies dont like will be sure to further choke off access to venture capital and chase trillions more offshore. How many more taxes are hidden in the massive bill? We'll find out but let's venture a guess--plenty of them! The New Depression is officially ON!

But to return to poor Ollie, I'm thinking of that silent short where Stan and Ollie are trying to sell some poor boob a Christmas tree. With each action the anger rises and in the end Laurel and Hardy's car and the house of the guy who doesnt want to buy the tree are both a pile of smoking ruins. This is what Obama and the Democreeps are doing to your house, and all our houses with their danged Hope And Change. Its a fine mess they've gotten us into this time. I hope its not too late to stop them.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-44058001263266528552010-06-29T08:56:00.000-07:002010-06-29T16:07:50.401-07:00Poodle Warming
I always wanted a Nobel Prize. And an Oscar. And a Grammy. Why? I'll tell you why, its the babes, the chicks, the prestige groupies! C'mon baby, wanta come back to my pad and check out my Nobel? I've read about women lining up to be impregnated by a certified, world-recognized genius. There was even some dude a few years ago who tried to start a sperm bank with only Nobel donors. You instantly become the Alpha male in the center of the Baboon Circle when they hand you that sizzlin' Norwegian award. Its GREAT to be the king! No female can refuse you.

Imagine my surprise then to read the seamy tale of crazed sex-poodle Algore and the massage therapist. It seems a drunk Climate God sent for the massage therapist in the hotel where he was staying on a stop in his Holy Crusade To Save The Planet and made some 'unwelcome advances'. In fact, if he had been a mid-level executive or some other anonymous guest at the hotel one would go so far as to describe the unwelcome advance as an assault.

The details are available all over the internet and, to tell you the truth, are pretty standard for this kind of situation. Alternating whining and rage as he tries to pin down and trap his victim. If Algore had been a nobody the therapist would have slugged him or called the cops and that would have been that. Just another drunk, tubby loser on a slow night in Portland. The hotel and the women's friends discouraged her from contacting the authorities because...its GREAT to be the king!...wrecking Algore's reputation would be Bad For The Planet!

But let's ignore all that stuff and look at this a little more objectively. What kind of an idiot is alone in a hotel room, lonely, wanting female companionship and calls the front desk of the hotel to arrange for a licensed massage therapist? This was the cat who invented the internet! So I went on the internet and typed 'Escort Portland Oregon' into the search engine. There's an escort going by the name 'Mandy The Eskimo'. I clicked on 'services' and golly, that Mandy will do just about everything you could ask, and for a real reasonable price...and she's an eskimo! Also, on the long list of services that Mandy will provide is listed 'rubdown'. We can bet that Mandy isnt too fastidious to do the 'naughty bits'.

I've known a few 'legitimate' massage therapists. Animation studios sometimes hire them when there's a crushing deadline and everyone is working tons of overtime and after a few back and shoulder rubs you get acquainted. I used to live with a masseuse in San Francisco in my single days. All the legitimate masseuses that I have known take what they do very seriously. They have different methods and argue passionately over which is the most viable. They see themselves as professionals providing a helpful and valuable service and one thing makes them really, really angry...being associated with prostitutes.

So why did Algore treat this person like Mandy The Eskimo? Why didnt Algore call Mandy The Eskimo if that's the kind of massage he wanted? Why didnt he go down to the local Earth First chapter and drag off some willing climate groupie? That would have been simple. You or I wouldnt do it a) because we're married and b) listening to the tree-hugging babble for a couple of hours would be a complete turn-off and c) those granola girls are probably indiscreet and would go all over Portland bragging that they had had a little Global Warming by the Climate God. So maybe the groupie route wasnt an option. You still would think that Mr. Nobel Laureate could have had a tasteful interlude with some local married woman, someone who also needs discretion but still seeks to bask in your Academy Award Winning glow.

Nope, Al went for the crazed sex-poodle lunge. He didnt care that the oceans might rise, his own tide was in and that was all that mattered. So now the guy who stood up and called BJ Clinton 'The greatest President in American History' and told the press that there was 'no controlling legal authority' to prevent him from breaking the law while he was Vice President, the guy who traded his Gulf War vote in the Senate for extra TV time has handed us who despise him as a phony and a liar the ultimate 'global warming' argument. We can ridicule the God himself along with his self-serving scare stories.

What is it with these famous politicians? Did Governor Sanford really think that he could disappear for a week and come back no questions asked? Did Eliot Spitzer think that he could piss off everybody in the New York financial community and then go hang out with random hookers? Did John Edwards think that the whacky broad that he knocked up wouldnt tell anybody about it? Does Bill Clinton think nobody knew about Belinda Stronach and the multitude of others he's been seeing lately? Do these guys think they're so cool and smart and we're so dumb and the media is so compliant and their wives so ambitious that its all going to be fine, the secret will get kept. They think they've got everybody fooled when they flaunt their infidelity by nauseating public displays of affection to their spouses; the Clintons dancing on the beach with no music, the slobbery convention kiss that Al gave Tipper. But fulsome bragging about how much you love a spouse you've been married to for decades is like fulsome bragging about your sexual prowess... something's always fishy.

So now Algore is a crazed sex-poodle whose self-appointed crusade to save the planet has already taken some severe hits; his fellow Nobel-winners' IPCC report has been torn to shreds by revelations that the 'settled science' was lifted from the pages of the Greenpeace newsletter and basically made up; that his own 'hockey stick' is provably wrong, wrong, wrong: we're in a cool period; the oceans arent rising; the ice caps refuse to melt; studies show that there is no relationship in history between carbon levels and temperature and the theory of 'radiance' is a lot of hooey with no science behind it at all. Do people with settled science need to move temperature gathering instruments onto asphalt and near heating ducts to get the temperature readings they want and then 'lose' the real data when Freedom Of Information suits are filed to acquire the raw data? The disgraceful Copenhagen Climate Conference, occurring in the middle of a millennial blizzard called for saving the Earth by huge payouts to bloodthirsty dictators; the self-serving anti-western greediness opened a few eyes. Algore's Climate religion is beginning to feel some heat from reality, sinking in the polls.

Now Al is a crazed sex-poodle who has been dumped by the gal he snogged on the stage at the Democratic Convention. In 'Everything You Wanted To Know About Sex But Were Afraid To Ask' Gene Wilder ends up on skid row sitting next to a sheep and drinking from a bottle of Woolite. Move over Gene, Al needs lots of room.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-79902919179895981452010-06-22T10:46:00.000-07:002010-06-22T11:52:14.256-07:00She's BAAAACK!
Even as I watch outrage after outrage I still will always give Barak Obama credit for the one thing that he did to improve this country...he saved us from Hillary Clinton. The book 'Game Change' outlines in stark detail the nastiness, incompetence and total leftism which characterize BJ and the lovely Dragon Lady. That book, written by liberals about liberals, didnt even mention the redoubtable Hilly's taking millions of dollars from non-English-speaking Chinese pushcart vendors and the Norman Shue incident. But what was pretty clear from the book was that the Democrats, usually tolerant of each other's quirks to the point of being accessories to felonies, had finally had enough of the thuggish bullying that was the Clinton Legacy. In 'Game Change' it described how Schumer, Reid, Pelosi, Fat Teddy and the whole sorry crewe slipped dagger after dagger into the backs of the Arkansas power couple. What joy they felt watching the arrogant and seemingly invincible Hilly concede and drop out of the race--after trying to shakedown Barry and Rahm for ten million bucks to cover the IOUs from her mismanaged campaign.

But they fixed her good, them Obamunists. They granted her the fiefdom of Secretary Of State, except she had to defer to 'special envoys' in every area of importance. She would go to pressers in foreign countries and most of the questions would be about BJ. She didnt get to go to the Copenhagen Climate Summit. She was sidelined in Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea and China. Poor Hilly, what was to become of her?

That was then, this is now. Now it seems she was locked out of a burning house. As Barry and the Demo Gang have stumbled from disaster to disaster Hilly has hovered on the sidelines, never really front and center as things went so terribly wrong but official enough to be visible along the edges. Visible enough to remind the Demos that they could have elected someone who had been in the White House other than on the tour.

Now that the Demos are facing the rage of the chumps they lied to for so long, now that the 'moderate' 'Blue Dog' Stupaks are seen for the dishonest radicals that they are, they are searching for some way to save the party, even at the cost of abandoning the hapless Obama. After all, it worked with 'Jimmy The Jerk', the peanut-brained leftist who tanked the economy and came within a hair of losing the Cold War in the 70's. You see, it wasnt the orgy of leftist spending and tax-raising that crippled the economy, it wasnt open Demo Congressional support for Cuban and Soviet expansion, it wasnt the rapidly expanding government that caused all the problems it was Carter. He just wasnt up to the job, you see. It wasnt that Congress (totally controlled by the Demos) had enacted their anti-military rage by slashing budgets and adding layers of restrictive regulation to the military, it was Carter's ineptitude that caused the Tehran mission to fail.

And here we are. Who'da thunk it? The Demos are staring extinction in the face. Voters have never been this angry. Obama stumbles from screw-up to unpopular screw-up without any idea of how bad he looks and how out of touch he is with what's going on. They cant admit that its their leftist philosophy and its inevitable results that is the problem...it must be that Barry hasnt been very good at enacting more of it. Look at the rage in the liberal press that not enough money is being spent by the government to stimulate the economy while at the same time they refuse to demand that Congress come up with a budget that shows how much is being spent on this supposedly inadequate response to the recession.

If they have to do to Obama in 2010 what they did to Hilly in 2008 the Dems will do it. Barry is on his way to being toast, not just with conservatives and independents, but with Democrats and leftists. But who will rise to save the weakened and frightened Party of Compassion? Who is strong enough to keep the lie alive? There she stands, on the sidelines, in her well-filled-out pink satin pantsuit, a sneering smile on her angry face. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

All the old betrayals are forgotten, the incompetent campaign a thing of the past, impeachment a distant memory, barrels of Chinese cash suddenly an asset. They turn to Hilly because they know one thing that the still-stupid electorate seemingly doesnt know; Hillary is just as far to the left as Obama. There is absolutely no difference in their views as there is no difference in the views of any Democrat. They are all swimming in the direction their Marxist professors pointed them in when they were little commie hatchlings in the Ivy League radical fish farm.

There's more bad news. Hillary is every bit as incompetent as Obama, maybe more. She's more egotistical, more arrogant, she believes the same idiocies, she tells the same lies. The stupid electorate hasnt become Demo-phobic, they just feel like chumps because they voted for 'Hope And Change'. Yeah, the Dems will take it on the chin this November but they have high hopes that the Republiclowns will revert to type and be sandbagged in 2012 by a rejuvenated Demo media juggernaut. The independents who elected Obama will be ready to anoint Hilly. They might be right but the damage has already been done. The meltdown of the welfare state is ongoing and unstoppable. Our own little Eva Peron will be as bad as Barry in every way except that she is more lawless and more ruthless and works harder to aggrandize herself.

If the Republiclowns run a Romney, a Huckabee, a Pawlenty or some other accommodationist RINO midget in 2012 we will find ourselves in Clinton III. Prosperity and Democracy will be things of the past. Some people are buying gold to hedge against this but that's a fool's hope, socialist tyrants always confiscate gold. I'm buying a wheelbarrow so that when I cash my Social Security check I can wheel my fifty pounds of hundred dollar bills down to the government store and buy a bottle of Victory Gin. Comrade Hilly Is Always Right!skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-19246439377941413632010-06-04T12:16:00.000-07:002010-06-06T08:32:33.919-07:00The W Factor
Lets just blame everything on George W Bush. Its so obvious now that we're entering the second leg of a W-shaped economic pattern. Let's hope its a W. We've had the fall and then we spent a couple of trillion bucks to achieve the anemic uptick of the last few months but now we are looking at another slide. The only thing that works against the W model is that there is nothing to explain how the final upside of the W is going to take place. To make matters worse our esteemed El Presidente, in a moment where it was obvious he was channeling his hero Hugo Chavez, happily announced over four hundred thousand new jobs. That would have been great if I hadnt been watching CNBC where the market was tanking because it turns out that 95% of those new jobs 'created' by this powerful upturn were temporary, minimum-wage census workers hired by the Feds. After an hour of listening to these financial guys freaking out they cut in to a Presidential speech where Barry's busting his buttons about all those swell new jobs with the newly lobotomized Biden drooling and grinning in the background.

Maybe next month they can create some new jobs by hiring unemployed white-collar workers to clean the oil that one of Barry's main campaign contributors has so thoughtlessly dumped into the Gulf Of Mexico. Maybe they could hire some people to expedite the permits to let the Louisianians create the sand berms that they wanted to get to work on (more jobs!) last month. Isnt it funny that Exxon-Mobile had one safety violation in the last year, Shell had another and BP had 760, several of them major. Guess who is a huge contributor to the Party Of Greenness. But those workaday drabs at Exxon-Mobile and Shell didnt have the vision of BP--a vision of an entire corps of formerly unemployed middle managers happily washing the goo off of flocks of appreciative water fowl. Jobs! Jobs! Jobs! Thanks Tony!

I live in a part of Los Angeles called the San Fernando Valley. Its a charming area replete with more medical marijuana dispensaries and strip malls than the fussiest heart could desire. What's our largest industry? The production of pornography. That's right Mr. And Mrs. I'm So Moral, we're working hard and yes, adding to America's job mix. Hundreds, no thousands, of Federal Employees at places like the Security Exchange Commission and the Mineral Management Service spend a lot of quality government time and resources helping to create jobs right here where I live! These public servants ignored distractions like the real estate bubble and BP's horrible safety record helping my neighbors to find work. They created jobs here and when discovered managed to avoid losing theirs--I call that a win-win!

Those of us who have been watching more and more of our jobs be sent to South Korea now have a ray of hope as the North Koreans torpedo South Korean boats and threaten nuclear war with the Chinese backing them up as we all watch our pathetic Secretary Of Defense be openly and publicly humiliated by those same Chicoms. Well, the South has elected an anti-American left-wing government (just like us) so you guys enjoy yourselves as the Yanquis go home! How do you say Hope And Change in Korean? It just means jobs, jobs, jobs for...well, somebody. Maybe not Americans because of our horrible business climate but somebody in the Global Village, and isnt Obama all about jobs? Like a laser-beam!

You know, with the Obamunists the good news on the jobs front just doesnt stop! Our esteemed Secretary Of State invested her two cents in the jobs debate by pointing out that Brazil has raised taxes and look at them, they havent collapsed...yet. I guess all those Brazilians who are here illegally, and there are plenty of them, will be heading back to that high-tax Mecca, freeing up yet more sweatshop and dishwashing jobs for all of us eager United Statesians! Thanks Hilly! I'm surprised we dont have to go recruit in other countries to fill all the jobs these wise policies are creating.

Just when the so-called economic traditionalists are pooh-poohing the robust recovery that El Presidente was touting in this morning's announcement we learn that even at the Census Bureau they've come up with yet more jobs by thinking outside the box. For instance, you hire ten census workers to work in one area for a few days and then you lay them off. Then, just in time to prevent them from receiving unemployment benefits and inflating the unemployment statistics you re-hire them to cover another area. You've 'created' twenty jobs! Do it again, that's thirty jobs! Once you train these guys to inflate the population numbers in selected neighborhoods you can massage the flow of Federal money and everyone knows that's the basis of a boom economy. Statistics were invented to be reinvented, look at the climate data! The result...Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!

The cruise industry, down on its luck, has struck an Obama-gold mine by leasing out its ships to the flotilla of terrorists heading for the sunny shores of Gaza. They've cut their ballast costs by installing medium range Iranian missiles and plastic explosive deep in the holds while up on deck the throngs of happy terrorists dance to the tune of 'Kaybars! Kaybars! Kill The Jews!' Maybe we could sneak the most tuneful ones across the Arizona border so they could compete in American Idol and add to the employment statistics (name of employer...Al Qaida!). Those foreign terrorists and Mexican drug smugglers are just doing jobs that Americans are too lazy or too cowardly to do for themselves. Actually all our domestic terrorists have jobs in the Obama Administration so we need this wise policy to bring in workers to fill the gap. It just adds up to more danged JOBS!

So we're going to continue to recover from those depressing 4.5% W Bush employment numbers--shucks, we've already doubled them and quadrupled that economy-boosting federal deficit so stand back and watch us grow! I'm already as busy as a beaver (a Clinton-era term) working to make Jerry Brown the next Governor of the Golden State. We need to get Arnold's foot off the budget brakes, stomp the spending and borrowing pedal to the metal and blast off to prosperity! See you guys in Money Town!skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-72735378583639949842010-05-13T08:40:00.000-07:002010-05-13T11:06:30.623-07:00I'm One Of Jerry's Kids!
In the early eighties it was clear that the Soviet Empire had some major problems. Even though it seemed to be expanding in Africa, Asia and Central America there was increasing unrest in its European satrapies and the rival Chinese were abandoning Marxist economics in favor of a murderous state crony capitalism (fascism) that emphasized exports and expansion. There were no exports or expansion in the Soviet zone. Even the abundant oil and natural gas resources of the Soviets could not be extracted and marketed profitably by their moribund state monopolies. An earthquake in Armenia caused tens of thousands of deaths as the poorly built concrete apartment complexes built in the Soviet era turned into rubble in a few seconds.

But we had grown up with the Cold War. No communist country had ever thrown off its masters and reverted to whatever it is they call what we have...social democratic capitalism, I guess. It looked completely permanent, an immovable force. There might be adjustments back and forth but no one thought that it would collapse as quickly as it did. But it did. Within three or four years every member of the Warsaw Pact threw off the chains of Marxism and the entire lie, the Great Social Experiment of Lenin and Stalin disappeared into the trash can of history. In most of the 'former' nations the old elites of the Communist Party and the secret police 'privatized' the economy by declaring themselves the owners of it. That was fine except that without a closed economy the noble Moskvitch had to compete with Toyota and Mercedes Benz so owning the Moskvitch plant didnt add up to much.

But on the other side of the Iron Curtain the creeping 'democratic socialism', that was led by people who in the main sympathized and admired the Marxist experiment and reviled anti-communists like Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher, continued its slow, malignant growth. By the first decade of the twenty-first century there were crowds of people in every 'Western' country that believed that the government subsidies that they received were theirs by right. Government employees receiving a hundred times their contributions to the pension funds back as a pension, corporations receiving subsidies and bailouts because they were too weak to stand up to ruinous union demands, union workers screaming for the government to underwrite those demands, social security recipients who sat happily by while the 'trust fund' was added to current accounts to hide the growing deficits and now expecting a giant payout far out of proportion to their contributions. There were universities with their huge tenured faculties and unionized work forces attended by students who were there because they could borrow cheap government-subsidized money from banks happy to be on the take from the Feds. Medicare grew like a gigantic tumor as the seniors demanded everything they wanted without any thought given to costs. Ten thousand earmarks funded ten thousand 'deserving' programs.

This was fine as long as the global economy was expanding but the seeds of its destruction had sprouted and two years ago the shape of that destruction became apparent. The largest age group in the population has reached retirement age and one of the chief side-effects of the cradle-to-grave social democratic state is a birth rate far below replacement. Why have kids? You really want to live in the kid's garage with the St Bernard, a burden to everybody, when you can take your pension and your Social Security and your Medicare and tell those ungrateful brats, if you even bothered to have any ungrateful brats, that you didnt need them in your sunset years? The social structures put in place by St. FDR and expanded by every government since then and its copies in Western Europe would provide.

Now we have reached the end of the road. There are not enough young workers to support the aging boomers in the same lifestyle that their parents had in their old age. Our parents had children. Those boomer children worked and paid taxes to fund their parent's old age payouts. Some of us boomers also had children. We paid the huge cost and did the hard work of bringing them up and teaching them to be hard-working good citizens. But plenty of people decided that children were just a hideously expensive pain in the butt. They were able to buy that vacation home with a spare bedroom for the beloved Lhasa Apso, using the money that they didnt spend on diapers and ballet lessons. They have 401k's that are phat and happy. The government and the corporation are going to kick in, or in the case of government employees fully fund, a nice cushy life style starting at age fifty and ending in the mid-eighties. Where the wealth to pay for this is going to come from isnt a worry...after all the system always has problems but it never collapses, right?

Wrong. Los Angeles, the city I live in, is bankrupt. Mayor Villarigosa (pronounced Viva La Raza), a former community organizer from the SEIU, has stopped happily performing gay marriages in his office and now uses that venue to sadly announce layoffs of city employees on a regular basis. The Governator has just announced some relatively tiny cuts in some welfare programs. They are nothing in the big picture except that welfare programs never get cut in this state. Never. Now the poor, who always vote Democratic in return for bigger and bigger payoffs are feeling the results of voting for a party that happily encouraged hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens to sign up for benefits along with our native poor and at the same time chased businesses and high-income taxpayers to other states. Adding millions of foreign nationals to the social safety net has helped to bankrupt the system.

But the poor are only a part of the problem and not the biggest part. The pension fund for government employees (CALPERS- The CALifornia Public Employee Retirement System) is mismanaged, underfunded and going broke. If those pensioners are looking for a state with declining revenues and exploding fixed costs to underwrite their union-encouraged improvidence then they are living in a fool's paradise. The moment of Greek Truth is very close in the Golden State.

Now, in California we are in the midst of a primary campaign to decide which Republiclown gets to challenge Jerry Brown for the governorship. Thats right, you read right, Jerry Brown, a moron whose loony administration in the seventies became a national joke, is going for his third term. But the two Republiclowns who are slugging it out in the primary to see who runs against that idiot have come up with some interesting attack ads. Meg Whitman, the founder of E-Bay, is using her millions to point out that her opponent contributed to Algore in the 2000 election. Steve Poizner, her opponent has raised the salient point that Ms. Whitman contributed to and campaigned for the reelection of the noxious radical Babs Boxer. Both of them rail on about how conservative they are but neither has denied that those specific charges are false or have attempted to explain their actions. Guilty as charged; they're a couple of big fat LIBERALS!

In a former post I said that I'm glad our president is not John McLame. I'm glad this collapse now has a purely Democratic brand on it. McLame would have passed everything the Dems wanted with a few Republiclown votes thrown in to make it all look 'bi-partisan'. The super-liberal McLame would have 'worked with the other party' and enacted more destructive programs and taxes than the incompetent and clueless Obama has been able to do. Just as the lefties called Bush's liberalism a 'conservative failure' so too would the current decline be attributed to the 'right-wing McLame'. That's why I am leaving my primary vote for governor blank and I will be voting for Jerry Brown for governor of California. What good did Swartzenegger's 'R' do us? None! In fact he has allowed those lying leftists in the legislature to sell their Democratic trainwreck to the rubes as 'Arnold's failed conservative policies'. No way am I going to vote for a RINO who wont take any of the necessary steps to avert the trainwreck, if that's still possible, so the Dems can tell the same lie again. Let Jerry explain to the pensioners, La Raza and the welfare crowd that the well has run dry. I cant wait to see it.

California is Greece. When the do-do hits the fan we are all going to suffer. There is no 'fix' to this except letting the system reach critical mass and then picking up the pieces after the meltdown. Our children are screwed. Maybe our grandchildren will be smarter.skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-55339519735288340792010-04-28T07:19:00.000-07:002010-04-28T09:19:40.762-07:00Britons Never Never Shall Be...
The next word in that ancient song was 'slaves' but they're thinking of changing it to fit the New Age. Looking at the upcoming election the old song just doesnt fit in any way. They dont rule the waves and they dont seem very adept at avoiding tyranny and slavery to the state either. We can stand a few thousand miles away and think of all the times in England where us dumb colonials were subjected to that backhanded sneering irony that made Britain the ruler of the world. Oh you foolish Americans, you Bush voters, we understand that you're just not very clever and we will allow for your Western Hemisphere Retardation by treating you like the helpless mental defective we know you are but are too 'polite' to say right to your face. This leaves you standing, enraged, missing the opportunity to think of something equally snidey to say back and unwilling to confirm their opinion that you are an uncultured boor by screaming 'screw you' back at them.

But isnt it nice to be able to look with new eyes at the nation whose language, legal system and culture were the roots of our own and realize...they're as dumb as we are! Maybe even a little bit dumber. Look how things have turned around. Margaret Thatcher, one of the great figures of the last century, a woman who literally saved the UK from economic catastrophe, preceded Ronald Reagan, who essentially did the same thing for the US. But what, in the end, did these giants accomplish? They balanced the welfare state's books, they didnt stop its growth or undermine the assumptions that underlaid its expansion. The idea that everyone could take more out of the system than they put in didnt recede even a tiny bit under either of these two or the beetling nonentities who followed.

Who was more of a wet noodle John Major or Bush 41? Both of them blew the noodle-ometer off the scale as they truckled to every special interest with a campaign contribution in its hand and a greedy gleam in its eye and smiled happy at the growing megastate metastasizing all around them. Meanwhile a new generation was being hatched out from the universities, steeped in the heady broth of utopianism and totally ignorant of logic, economics and their own cultural traditions and stuffed to the gills with politically correct slogans in place of thoughts. This rot proceeded to the point where both countries could be attacked by an enemy who described us in the most vile terms as a bunch of cowardly, atheistic degenerates and howl for our extinction or forcible conversion to the most detestable religion on the planet and our leaders found themselves unable to even mention the name of this hostile ideology or, in the case of the UK, to make illegal any criticism of that ideology in case these rage-filled misogynists are somehow made even madder. In the US a half-wit Senator named Patty Murray took the opportunity, several days after the 9/11 attack murdered several thousand of her fellow countrymen, to inform us that Osama Bin Laden was beloved in Afghanistan because he built so many roads and day care centers. These mysterious day care centers had vanished by the time the coalition forces chased the Taliban from power and were replaced with stories of widows starving to death because they were unable to work or even leave their houses unescorted by a male relative. Watching these so-called 'feminists' truckle to a pack of angry misogynists who consider women to be a form of livestock is part of the grim comedy of political correctness.

The hideous John Major was followed by a toothy reptilian sociopathic liar, Tony Blair, just as the feeble Bush 41 was followed by the nauseating BJ Clinton. Clinton was preparing to dive headfirst into the rocky chasm of socialism but was stopped cold by a crippling defeat in the 1994 mid-term elections, an outburst of sanity on the part of the electorate that has yet to be repeated. Both Clinton and Blair had a conniving reptile intelligence that placed their own political survival above any high-falutin ideals they might have thought they believed in and both continued the low tax rates as they quietly fed the forces who would emerge in a few years to seize power in the name of the megastate.

The leftist Clinton was followed by the liberal and ineffective Bush 43, a man with no agenda other than running the machinery of government, while the leftist Blair was replaced by the incredibly incompetent, even more leftwing leftist Gordon Brown. He looks like Terry Jones of the comedy group Monty Python and his public statements made people wonder if he had hired Monty Python's writing team as his speechwriters. Under Brown the old Blair policy of respecting the sanctity of the Thatcher Tax Rates was abandoned and public spending and promises to do more public spending escalated. The result has been capital flight and rapidly rising deficits.

Meanwhile, across the pond, the American electorate, tired of the buffoonish and lackluster Bush, succumbed to an American Idol political advertising campaign by installing a vapid, glassy-eyed ideologue whose brain had done a Vulcan mind-meld with every bad political and economic idea developed in the foetid swamp of the last fifty years of academic think tanks. He was elected because he was more telegenic than any of his opponents. His voters were the New Generation, clutching their soon-to-be worthless college degrees and yearning for the New Age laid out so lovingly by their professors, deluded independents who were disgusted at the corruption that the megastate-friendly media skillfully portrayed as a solely Republican phenomena, and fulsome blood-sucking parasites of all stripes who licked their lips in the hopes of even bigger payouts. The 'political debate' was vapid and ignored any of the real problems that would have to be dealt with in the near future. The American Idol President promptly handed the keys to the treasury over to a legislature run by a botoxed Marxist multi-millionaire crackpot Granny and a sniveling gay Mormon pathological Uriah Heep-style liar who was notorious for his crooked land deals and put his presidential feet up on his desk dreaming of being the greatest president since Lincoln.

In a few days the UK electorate will go to the polls to decide between three appalling but distinguishable candidates. they have had American style TV debates where moronic reporters ask irrelevant questions and a new dynamic has emerged from that. Brown, representing Labour, has been skunked by the candidate of the usually laughable Liberal Democrat Party's new young candidate Nick Clegg. Clegg is another Obama. He is much more far to the left than even Brown but is skillfully obfuscating and pretending to be ideology-free. The Brits who arent going to vote for the Conservative Party seem to be deserting Labour and running towards this New Hope And Change candidate. Brown is scrambling to hold on to his voters.

But today Brown got in a debate with someone even more formidable than Cameron (the 'Conservative' who in this country would be as conservative as Arlen Spector or Chuck Schumer) or even Clegg; Gillian Duffy of Rochdale, Lancashire. She confronted the miked-up Brown, asking him the questions that the dimwit press had been avoiding. Taxes, deficits, debt, the implosion of the horrible National Health Service and immigration.

Brown retorted to her remark that millions of Eastern Europeans were flocking to Britain and getting on the public assistance rolls by noting that millions of Britons had moved away from the country. So productive tax-paying upscale Britons are replaced by subsidy-sucking, poverty-stricken foreigners and that's OK with Gordon! As Ms. Duffy took this mutt to the cleaners in their ad hoc debate he became more and more irate that someone had the effrontery to raise actual issues and on walking away, still miked, he snarled to an aide, "That was a disaster - they should never have put me with that woman. Whose idea was that? It's just ridiculous...she was just a bigoted woman."

And that, my friends, is who we are to these jerks--a bunch of angry bigots trying to weasel our way out of paying 'our fair share'. Duffy, a lifelong Labour voter was shocked to be described as such and promises not to vote this time but I dont believe her. English people always do what they've always done and a lifelong Labour voter will go to the polls and vote for Labour no matter what that means politically. Americans might jump back and forth between parties but Brits are not that way. Even the charismatic Clegg has a dim chance of an upset that would give him anything like a majority. He hopes to have a key block of votes in Parliament that will make him a king-maker.

Meanwhile the debt grows. The Russians and Iranians run amok. The public employees demand ever higher payouts as services collapse and crime runs rampant. British traditions are vilified by the Marxists who run the education system and more and more Brits check out of the system, retiring or fleeing the country, leaving a dwindling tax base to the crowds of freeloaders and parasites who feed so lustily at the public trough. We're seeing the result of this trend in the PIGS (Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain), who are very visibly going broke now, but France and Britain and indeed all the rest of Europe are not far behind. And California and New York and Illinois and Pennsylvania and...skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-14141758433836147712010-04-22T08:18:00.000-07:002010-04-22T11:00:54.267-07:00Gamey Change
I'm depressed. My daughter mailed me her copy of 'Game Change' so that her political junkie father could read it. 'Game Change' is an account of the inside machinations of the various players in the 2008 election. It was written by Mark Halperin, the former director of ABC News who was so helpful to BJ Clinton during the impeachment, and another liberal journalist. Whatever you think of their point of view you have to admire how these guys dug up the dirt. Of course, as Rush Limbaugh noted, it might have been a bit more useful if these guys had dug up some of this dirt before the election but that was impossible; anything that jeopardized victory for the cause was unthinkable. Another reason to not dig too deep into the Clintons before they had been brought down to earth was the prospect that they would be back in office with a giant sheet-list, ready to direct the IRS to revenge every tiny insult from the out years.

Thats the most satisfying and at the same time most disturbing thing in the book; the downfall of the Clints and especially BJ. That a person with a total contempt for the truth was elected and then re-elected as President of the United States has been an issue for all of us Right-wing fringe nutballs since 1992. How could our fellow Americans be so ignorant and dense as to find some redeeming features in this narcissistic reprobate and his squawking power-mad crow of a spouse? The picture of them that emerges from this book will add to the shock of even the most dedicated Clinton-haters. The Smartest Woman In The Universe and Our First Black President are surrounded by an entire Democratic Party hierarchy who hated their guts and did everything in its power to block Hilly's candidacy, including begging Obama to run against her and then backing him to the hilt. As the Clints realized the level of betrayal by slimy nematodes like Harry Reid, John Kerry, George Soros, Chuck Schumer and a raft of more anonymous but important party insiders their rage and bitterness drove them (especially BJ) totally insane, especially after Fat Teddy plunged his dagger between Hilly's shoulder blades.

That the media, who had spiked rape stories and covered up bribes from a hostile foreign government or two for the Clints in the past, would all of a sudden start treating them so badly you would almost think they were Republicans, was a dagger in the hearts of America's Power Couple. Of course they werent being given the full-on Bush-Rove treatment; little faux pas like Hilly's two million dollar campaign contribution from the Chicoms bundled through Chinese street vendors and small businessmen in NYC or the whole Norman Hsu-Chicom bribe were passed over by 'Game Change'. The problems with BJ's donor list werent addressed or some of the more questionable aspects of the Clinton Global Cashgrab Initiative but I guess a book can only have so many pages, after all. But what was getting out during the primaries was enough to spark rage and fury in the hearts of Billy and Hilly as they watched Clinton 3 slide down the tubes. Bill ended up doing a tour of Dairy Queens just off the two-lane blacktop in forgotten rural backwaters to keep him from doing any more damage with his out-of-control big mouth.

The sage and calm Obama strides purposefully through the narrative like Kim Jong Il, sometimes chagrined by the scuffle and pressing to reign in a misguided follower or two but always on the right side of history, as Marxist hagiographers would say. The fad-like Obamamania is unmentioned or mischaracterized, as in the case of Barry's disastrous visit to Israel and his embarrassing flop of a speech in Berlin, the former ignored and the later mentioned in one sentence which describes it as a triumph. The swooners and fainters and indeed the whole clownish emotiveness of Obamamania are unmentioned. No policy opinions of any sort are ascribed to any of the people in this book.

Which brings us to the most disturbing part of this book for those of us who think of ourselves as Republicans. This book explains, in a way, how John McLame became the candidate of a party he had absolute contempt for. At one point it quotes McLame as exclaiming, "Who would want to be the leader of a party made up of people like that?" (I'm paraphrasing from memory). Well, Johnny Boy, we felt the same way about you. McLame was genuinely shocked that the media, which had supported the weakest possible opposition to the Democrats (him), pushed his drive to the nomination, and then turned on him after he had it clinched, just as 'rightwing gasbags' (the author's language) like Rush Limbaugh had predicted would happen a year previously. Rush's contribution to Hilly's victories in Ohio and Texas by imploring his listeners to switch parties and vote for her in the primaries to cause trouble for the Dems was of course unmentioned.

The picture of McLame goes beyond ideology. The image that emerges is one of an unstable egomaniac without strong convictions about anything except his right to the Oval Office. He screams, he curses, he fulminates, he flies off on wild fantasy trips that he is sure will win him the White House. He bullies Bush and Obama into a meeting in the White House during the financial crisis and arrives completely unprepared, leaving Boehner to take the heat from Obama, Pelosi, Frank, and Reid as a bemused Bush sat back and watched the carnival.

The behavior of the RINOs, whom the liberal authors coddle as the real non-yahoo Republicans, is sickening. The pygmy stature of the other Republicans in the race for the nomination is stark. After reading this book my always negative picture of Mutt Romney was hardened into real dislike. Giuliani comes off as a pathetic poser, unwilling to engage. The conniving Lindsey Graham and the odious, ferret-like Charlie Crist act as one would expect. In the end McLame got the nomination because the liberal policies of George W Bush had marginalized the core of the Republican Party and because Bush sat still in the White House for eight years while his sworn enemies were screaming lies about him and us and howled for the end of the Republicans in general and him in particular. He sat there while Chuck Schumer and Colin Powell framed one of Cheney's innocent operatives in a kangaroo court where the defense was enjoined from mentioning anything about policy or politics and where the prosecution , faced with a total lack of evidence and knowing the name of the true 'culprit' in this non-crime spoke of nothing but policy and politics. W is disgraced forever for not standing up in front of the cameras the next day after the 'trial' and awarding a full pardon to Scooter Libby and then denouncing the liars Powell and Schumer and the disgraceful prosecutor Fitzgerald for their perfidy. But I digress.

In the end, after reading this book I am ashamed to say that I voted for McLame. He didnt deserve and wasnt fit to be president. As bad as Obama is at least his disastrous liberal policies have to be labeled just that. McLame's liberalism would have been blamed on us conservatives just like Bush's was. RINOs and Blue Dog Democrats are worse than honest liberals, who at least stand up for their beliefs. Nothing admirable or human emerges from this harsh picture of McLame. I felt more sympathy for Hillary Clinton's loss than I did for McLame.

Now for the toughest part of the book, the part about Sarah Palin. She was taken from her family and her recently born son with no preparation and dropped into the shark pit without a swimming lesson. She had a bit of a nervous breakdown after she made the acceptance speech that annointed her as the only person on the political scene that any conservative could support and the entire media tidal wave hit her full force. The McLamiacs treated her with contempt and disdain, as though she was a mere prop that had to be managed 100% of the time. She was isolated and under pressure. But with that said there were still things that could only shock someone who hopes that she will emerge as a party leader. At one point Katie Couric asks her whether she disagreed with other Supreme Court decisions besides Roe v Wade. Now come on. In my day any thirteen year old would have said Dred Scott or Plessy vs Ferguson. Anyone who reads a newspaper daily could surely have blurted out Kelo vs New London. She froze. The governor of a state, a person who makes her living in politics and government, couldnt answer a question like that! I'm in the cartoon industry and Palin's inability to answer Couric's question when she was running for a political office would be like me asking my collegues, "Who's Bugs Bunny?" Maybe it was stagefright, the bugs bunny in the headlights, but it doesnt come off well, to say the least.

In the end a shocking thing about this book is how little there is from any of these dopes about any kind of policy. Maybe thats what its all about, The Game, and that annoying policy nonsense is just a sideshow to highlight these paragons. Every one of these people who would lead us comes across, without exception, as a self-centered, narrow, conniving egomaniac, unfit for any high office. They all, with the notable exception of Palin, have never done anything in their lives except strive for power and that struggle has left them with shallow, empty souls and narrow, crabbed outlooks. After you read this book your hope for any kind of reform coming from the political class will have to wilt and die. We are in a period similar to France right before the Revolution. As Louis XIV or George W Bush 43 must have said, "Apres moi, le deluge!"skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3656486349192999658.post-86510932824061651372010-04-08T08:45:00.000-07:002010-04-10T18:15:31.244-07:00Whaleburgerz!
Santa Monica used to be a slum. In the 60's all those beach towns were definitely low-rent and run down. Not any more. Santa Monica has become Yuppie Central, like a vast colony of prairie dogs, except instead of those cute little yellow-ochre rodents Santa Monica is a giant warren of granola-eating New Age loonies addicted to destructive behaviors that cause societal erosion...like voting for Henry Waxman. A run-down shack in this little enclave tucked in between LA and the beach sells for over a mil and severe rent control has made apartments only available to those who can afford to pay the landlord huge 'key fees' to move in. A walk down the Third Street Mall will find you confronted by petition circulators who are trying to put measures on the ballot that would turn the State of California into an even more bleak economic desert than the left-wing loonies in the legislature have so far been able to accomplish.

What is dearer to the hearts of these paisley-clad Puritans in their pursuit of a Clean Green Planet than forcing all of us to eat a diet completely devoid of any kind of flavor or juice? Its amazing that they havent outdone that whacky little screwball who claims to be mayor of New York City by banning salt, transfat, meat produced from unhappy animals, or any food containing any kind of preservatives. In fact these pinched-mouthed fanatics hardly ever agree on what constitutes non-sinful eating but they tend to agree on one food as being completely politically correct...sushi.

Yes, you heard me, sushi. A piece of raw fish laid across a seaweed-wrapped, circular disk of usually white rice (brown in the case of the truly hard-core). Of course Sashimi, Nigiri, Maki rolls, all are OK for good-thinking Santa Monicans as long as their wallets hold up to the stiff costs of these little niblets of raw fish and sculptured veggies. The vibes in the numerous sushi establishments that are far more numerous than gas stations in that Progressive burg are SO highly evolved you can almost sense Gaia looking down with a smile lighting up her Earth Mother visage.

But of course no one is perfect. Many of the sushi chefs hail from formerly unknown Japanese cities with names like Zacatecas and Guadelajara. All of the serving staff speak a patois of Japanese known to its speakers as Espanol. The upscale owners of these bistros have been known to chastise mistakes in service with rhino-hide swagger sticks purchased from the British Empire going-out-of-business sale. These minor sins can be overlooked by an accepting population who recognizes that movement in a Green Direction is progress.

Then it happened. It was on 4th Street, right in the belly of the Green Beast, that some sharp eye noticed a popular upscale sushi bar was selling whale sushi. Little strips of whale laid lovingly across the little muffins of seaweed-wrapped rice. Oh they had some euphemistic name for it but it was whale. A mob formed and the owner of the joint barely escaped painful bloody murder at the hands of an angry crowd of people who only eat organic eggs from cage-free chickens. Its lucky that there was a medical marijuana dispensary and a sexual appliance store on either side of the sushi bar or the outraged hippies would have torched the scene of the crime.

Now there are neighborhoods in my beloved Los Angeles where people happily wear jumpsuits lined with fur from snow leopards and carry dolphin-skin handbags encrusted with rhinestones. My neighborhood as a matter of fact. We have a word for people like that...Iranians. You can see them speeding down the left-hand turn lane in the center of Ventura Boulevard in their badly-tuned Hummers laying down a carpet of black diesel smoke and screaming in Farsi on their cell phones. They probably eat whale shwarma all the time. My fellow Republicans, as they have developed a healthy resentment to being fleeced by high taxes and watching Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton suck up to the evil regime in Iran.

But over the hill they dont have any truck with cetacean murder. They deny themselves that last order of Unagi so they can kick in to reelect Hog-Nosed Hank and Babs Boxer without realizing that their favorite food is about to be denied to them by the same regime they elected so lovingly sixteen months ago. How could this be? Sushi is to the Obama Administration what pizza was to the Clinton Administration, its outrageous to think that the sushi-eaters who monopolize the upper reaches of our government would do anything to outlaw their favorite food.

Outlaw? No, but have these thoughtful Greenies considered what imposing a Value Added Tax might do to the price of their fishy treats? In the UK they imposed a VAT in the bleak, dark, socialistic seventies. What happened? Prices exploded overnight. A VAT is imposed at every level so the costs of rice and fish are taxed and then the cost of sushi is taxed when you buy it at the sushi bar. The cost of parking your car is taxed. Chopsticks, ginger and wasabi? Ditto. In the UK the business owners decided that everyone was expecting a price hike so they added a great big one to the VAT, figuring it could just be blamed on the government. Those eight-dollar spicy tuna rolls might double in price. The gas to drive your car to Santa Monica will double and triple as the idiotic foriegn policy climbdown turns the Middle East over to the nuked-up Iranians.

Inflation. It will crash into the beachside cafe culture of upscale places like Santa Monica like a tsunami. As the sushi-addicts are cold-turkeyed from their favorite food you'll see them wading into the sewage-polluted surf with meat-cleavers attacking the dolphins and sea lions with a hungry gleam in their eyes. Crowds of sushi-deprived Green Activists will greedily devour the fresh carcasses on the beach wrapping bloody scraps of cetacean flesh in the slimy seaweed that washes up with every wave. The Obama Depression has so far been fairly selective. The upscale have managed to avoid its most onerous effects but the day they impose a VAT that will be a thing of the past. This mega-inflationary tax is a wealth destroyer and a poverty creator.

Are the whales safe then? After all, its hard to swim far enough out to clip one of them with your meat-cleaver and you wont be able to afford gas or tie-up fees for a boat. Hmmm. Maybe they're safe, maybe not. The power vacuum created by the economic suicide of America will cause the rise of a new Superpower in the Pacific. China. Not a society known for their stewardship of the environment. Whale eaters. Drag net users. Dolphin killers. No environmental conscience at all.

The Obama policies could easily lead to the extinction of every form of marine life outside of those Chinese chemical and fish-feces polluted fish farms that are so notorious for contamination that Green markets like Trader Joes were forced to relabel their tilapia fillets as Chilean. It was easy to make a sticker that covered the 'na' at the end of the phrase Made In China with an 'le', creating a much more safe and salable product.

Not that you'll be able to afford tilapia fillets at $750 a box. Even the rice will be unavailable as the Green Nutballs cut off the water to every rice paddy in California in the name of the Delta Smelt, the only fish that has a chance of survival in the next few years. Every Obama policy is dedicated to make you live poorer than the poor in the poorest countries. You'll be cashing your unemployment check so you can use the worthless currency to light a fire to keep warm.
Hope And Change.
skep41http://www.blogger.com/profile/05298012734038994297noreply@blogger.com6
